Well that's weirdly coincidental you bringing up Alan Parsons. I just so happened to have been listening to my APP playlist today while running. I Robot (the song) always puts me in the zone. I still like this song, probably because it reminds me in some way of progressive rock music of my youth. I'll take what i can get.

Totally valid gripe. I didn't want to have to submit this embed, but couldn't find a better non-live version... Just did more digging and did find a better one. Embed replaced. Still not perfect, but not so annoying.

I'm really torn on this one, I love this song, but... The video is really pretty bad. Half a dozen stills, one rather nifty 20 second clip, and one ever-present credit (with no credit at all for the music). Feels almost like trying to steal the credit for the only real work here.

Separated by 27 years. It's entirely possible it was a song from childhood that they re-created without realizing it.

But to be honest, I don't care either way. I like the Lady Antebellum just as much if not more. The lyrics and melody are different enough that they still feel like different songs, despite the obvious similarity when played together.

it is from the Dark Side documentary, which is awesome. i highly recomend it to any floyd fan. alan parsons solos some of the vocal mixes and lets you hear individual takes. I've posted the video here:

For me it was (and is) a different Alan Parsons Project song and presumably a different girl in High School long ago and far away. Nice video.

Nice rendition of this song. Thanks for posting. I grew up listening to Alan Parson's Project, glad that he is still appreciated.
