Never AGAIN Grace!!!
Went to Magic Mountain in CA years ago and got on a ride similar to this, except it was the giant Viking Ship/Space Shuttle, etc which swung back and forth, as well as up and over. This type of ride has two sides of passengers facing each other, blocked by a central wall (where the pivot arm is attached). As we went up and over, although we couldn't actually see the people on the other side, we could tell that they were spitting, potentially covering people on our side with spit once we swung back down. Everyone was getting pissed and yelling at them to stop. Once the ride ended, we all piled out, ready for a fight, only to be greeted by an army of green-faced, empty-stomached Japanese tourists exiting the other side of the ride. So, yeah....it wasn't spit...
5 Historical Misconceptions Rundown
Well and of course we know #1 actually can be continued as for some reason there seemed to already be people there.
So in fact they probably found it first a LONG time ago up by Alaska's volcanic chain via the Russia/Alaska land-bridge that would have existed there for a time; plus someone would have to fill me in but I'm not entirely sure where the Polynesians "may" fit into all of this--as I know they were also known to be GREAT seamen and went very far on extremely small vessels (the ones I'm thinking of you actually have your legs in the water and it carries about six people and is designed sort of like an odd Catamaran)--Hawaii for example was settled into by 300-500 CE. Then the Vikings in Greenland, Canada, and North America (I think just Maine and a few points in Newfoundland--they also didn't stick around for long in these areas as they left these "western" camps to go back to Greenland for the winter). Finally, Columbus made it who sailed around The Caribbean a bit (basically Cuba then Haiti I think; if I remembered right--after coming from the Canary Islands).
There may even be more history to it as unfortunately we know how history is written AND if you don't have that much of a language and worse no paper or way to reference or keep track of old material, telling your story becomes VERY hard as it was never recorded in the first place. All we have left is archeology to help guide us to these newer, more exact figures and finders.
BUT, Columbus did find the first real trade route for 15th century Europe to a "New World", one that had its own spices and plenty of bounty, and THAT is what meant everything. THIS is what people should remember, not that he found it first or the round Earth garbage--that is just bad teachers and even worse (as I READ THEM) terrible history books!
5 Historical Misconceptions Rundown
Whenever I again hear the viking horns myth I'm reminded of the quote:
"A war hasn't been fought this badly since Olaf the Hairy, High Chief of all the Vikings accidentally ordered 80,000 battle helmets with the horns on the inside" - Blackadder (from Blackadder Goes Forth) referring to World War 1

Also Finland has the best racing drivers. Dunno why.
No endless straight roads, a lot of distance between places, lots of unpaved roads if you want to get a feel for rallying, pretty harsh requirements for a driving license, and a culture that's enthusiastic about racing.
Frankly what astonishes me is that for a population of under 6 million, Finns have won a medal or some sort of championship in just about everything at some point, and without relying on cultural diversity or immigrants (say what you will, in many sports like running there are huge racial differences). Everything on skis/snowboards, just about everything with an engine, most track and field events (though interestingly not sprint events, nothing below 400m at least), boats (F1 boats, sailing, rowing), shooting, many team sports (though we royally suck at soccer, still many individual Finns have ranked among the top players of the world, Jari Litmanen being a prime example), boxing, wrestling and other fight sports, weight lifting, the list goes on.
Must be something in the water of the so called "million lakes".
Damn vikings.

I noticed you put your dual barrel 1911 video in metal. metal is not for actual "metal" it is for metal MUSIC -
" For all things metal, including sub-genres, can be found in metal sift.
No rock and roll. No soft rock, or rock of any kind.
Gothic, Doom, Heavy, Thrash, Speed, Death, Black, New, Post,Industrial, Symphonic, Operatic, Power, Viking, Folk, Extreme, Viking,MetalCore and many others can all find a home here.
Now stop reading this, and mosh. "
yea its pretty stupid of a channel name, It depicts actual METAL not metal music.... But I wanted to let you know so you can "Modify details" under the title and change the channel assignments yourself.
** edit- let me express that again, IT IS A COMPLETELY STUPID CHANNEL ANNOTATION THAT DEPICTS WHAT THIS CHANNEL IS ABOUT... Jackass'

Heaviest deadlift ever (1015lb) - Benny Magnusson
>> ^charliem:
The type of lift in this video is the only kind of lift youll ever need...it works every single fucking muscle you have, even the ones in your jaw!!
Exactly! Best exercise ever, and imo of the three powerlifting 'lifts' (bench press, squat and deadlift) this is the most important because it has by far the least potential for cheating.
There are dozens and dozens of records broken every year in various categories and types of powerlifting - e.g. raw, single ply, double ply, knee wraps allowed, knee wraps not allowed, wide stance low-bar vs. narrow stance high-bar (position of the bar on your neck). But with deadlifting you just have to stand there and rip the weight off the floor with your brute man strength, the guys that have the biggest dead-lifts can truly considered to be pure athletes alongside the olympic lifters, and Benny is the strongest to have ever lived.
Plus he's from Iceland, so his Viking great grand-parents probably burnt down my pussy great parents village at some point, what a guy.
For anyone that cares, a deadlift suit simply adds some tension at the bottom of the lift, a bit like having a spring assisting you with the start of the lift - a good deadlift suit probably adds about 30-40 lb's to your lift, but that is debatable.

Starcraft 2 Siege Tank Exploit!
>> ^Asmo:
Anyone think the setup time vs a decent player would make this pointless?
The way he did it yes, especially since air units can still attack the tank.
If someone perfected doing this quickly then what might work is getting 2-3 tanks down there and then attacking the front of the enemy base with the remaining forces. Since they'll be defending pressure at the front it will be a lot harder for them to figure out what is attacking their mineral line or buildings.
Another possibility would be an early drop attack, especially against zerg. Use the glitched tanks to support a marine drop. The tanks can hit enemy units, but can't be attacked by melee units like speedlings or even roaches due to the short range. Then just kill off tech structures with the marines.
What might be more useful is stacking some tanks inside a few missile turrets on a high-ground corner for expansion defense. It would keep air units from sniping them and would keep the tanks from damaging each other. It would also hide the number of tanks you have from your enemy (much like the older "viking flower").

Skyrim - Unarmed Badass Viking Guide
Ya I actually thought that was a little tasteless myself but if you just ignore those idiotic comments the rest of it is rather funny.
I do however find it strange that some comedians can get away with it sometimes but some guy cracking jokes in a game video gets raped for saying anything.
Sorry I just couldn't resist the pun there. =-)
((How do you do the stupid smiley's here I can't find that in the FAQS?))

Thanks for putting the rape crap in the first few seconds so I know to skip the rest. That stuff just ain't cool.
