Robot Chicken: Final Fantasy 7: The Fast Food Industry

What gives you more pleasure, Final Fantasy or Robot Chicken ? @kceaton1

If I could have both at the same time like this, it would be completely obvious.

Otherwise, it's Robot Chicken. Now if we could create a videogame-Robot Chicken-Spielberg/Lucas/Nolan/James Cameron/Ridley/Peter Jackson/Guillermo del Toro /Joss Whedon (to keep the others on the up & up) and then Hans Zimmer/Williams (I know)/Jerry Goldsmith/Trent Reznor/Cliff Martinez/ & Dennis McCarthy for sound. Lot's of the people involved would innately clean up mistakes (like Lucas at some point; for example).

It would be the best thing ever...

True Grit - 2nd Trailer

Ryjkyj says...

^Thank you TRB.^ That movie was absolutely beautiful, visually and otherwise. Full of fantastic acting, pacing, and genuine suspense. I love that people can't seem to tolerate the ending and think that it ruins the movie as a whole. And then blame it on the Coen's writing. I found it troubling but what grade were we all in when the teacher covered the idea that some stories don't have a typical ending? 2nd? 3rd?

Thanks though Deano for at least giving credit to Raising Arizona, one of Nick Cage's finest performances. But it sounds to me like you're just jumping on the, "It's cool to dislike this because so many people do like it" bandwagon. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt though. I'm not trying to be a dick.

Couldn't agree more about "The Hudsucker Proxy" DFT. That movie is one of the greatest examples of comedic timing ever. I find when I show it to people, especially actors, that their biggest problem with the whole movie is that their modern, sitcom inundated minds can't pay attention to any sentence longer than ten words and they just zone out. It's really unfortunate. There are so many great performances there.

EDIT: Wow, for once a youtube comment intelligently sums it up:

"But the Coens aren't remaking this film. They're adapting the book. I think there's room for different film versions of books. If there wasn't, we would've never had Peter Jackson's version of the Lord of the Rings as we've be left with Ralph Bakshi's version."

District 9 was originally supposed to be Halo, but that fell apart. It's good that Peter Jackson and Neill Blommkamp have still managed to create something great.

That's a little misleading. They were originally in talks to make Halo, yes. When that fell apart, Fox offered them a different project. It's not like they transformed Halo into D9.

Hmm, hope it's good.

I'm still hoping that peter jackson eventually decides to sign back on to make the halo books/games into a movie, but for now this'll probably quench my thirst.

However, hopefully this doesn't go the other end of the spectrum and ruin the lore behind the series.

That's not really true, Peter Jackson is the producer of the film, and it's made by his production company Wingnut Films. Slashfilms.com describes director Neill Blomkamp as a protégé of Peter Jackson. I'm betting Jackson is responsible for this being made into a major movie, and had a good deal of input and oversight into it.

I agree it's irritating when studios give first billing to someone besides the director or lead actor in a transparent attempt to mislead audiences. But this is nowhere near as egregious as the crap Tarentino and Spielberg have pulled many times.

Why are you guys keeps on bring up Peter Jackson's name? He just "presents" the film. Like how Tarantino "presented" "Hero". Peter Jackson really have nothing to do with the film, they are just piggy back riding each other. The film needed a big name to sell in the states, and apparently ppl are dumb enough to think that the film is made by Peter Jackson.
