The Neo Geo loomed quite large when I was an adolecent... and I remember hiring one (the home version) for a weekend because hardly anyone owned one because they were so darn expensive.

Awesome machine with some awesome games.

Yeah the Neo-Geo was crazy. The ads argued that you got more for your money for the $200 games since they had more bits per dollar than the Genesis or SNES at the time or some other such BS.

I thought the NEO-GEO was a bit pricey. I think it was around $600 extra controller was maybe $100, and used games were between $90-150. Super Nintendos and Genesis were $99, gms $49 new.
