Hitler learns he can't stop vote counting

bobknight33 says...

It ain't over yet.

When is the last time Trump gave up.

There is voter fraud going on, how big? big enough to cast doubt.

If neither candidate gets to 270 electors due to disputed ballots, the House would have to decide the election.

Do you want elections to be decided because of direct foreign influence? Or do you want Americans to decide American elections?

Donald Trump as president issued that order making it illegal for anyone to petition a foreign government/entity to help win an election. If he's doing nothing wrong and all his actions were 'perfect' he would not have tried to cover it up.

Daily show: Republicans trying to win the lady vote

VoodooV says...

Just because women voters overwhelmingly voted for Obama over Romney doesn't really mean they're going to decide the election. People have to show up at the polls..period. Midterms traditionally have lower turnout because of the perception that they don't matter and low voter turnouts tend to favor the R

To me it just means Romney failed miserably connecting with women (just like he failed miserably to connect with most humans, even fellow republicans)

Republicans are "attempting" to make up for a long history of treating women as second class citizens so they're desperate, but it's just coming off as patronizing.

If Republicans could put forth a candidate that wasn't a complete stereotype of someone in the 50s maybe they'd have better luck. Women aren't the only demographic Republicans are having trouble with.

Romney Campaign Ad - Lies About Jeep Moving to China

Jinx says...

If low information voters decide the election then you don't really need to worry about putting out ads that are factually acurate - because they won't check it and won't hear that its misleading from any other sources.

I sometimes wonder what the results of the election would look like if to vote you needed to pass a basic quiz on some irrefutable political facts. Like, idk, where was Obama born for instance.

Chris Matthews Freaks Out At Obama After Debate

Retroboy says...

The only metric that counts is who influenced the potential and actual swing votes the most.

That 2% (or whatever number it really is) left over from the 98% (or whatever number it really is) quoted above could easily decide the election. If the debates directly, or indirectly, influence that then they are critically important. Coupled with other things that might develop, buzz that generates and promotes an impression that Obama was weak could cost him the presidency.

Hannity/Bachmann vs Weiner on the Budget

bobknight33 says...

Fair point.

However there are stupid people than not. Hence there there are only 2 choices. Elect leaders to help stupid people understand how to properly behave and live life, or eliminate them. Since we are a "just" nation we decided to elect leaders. ( however many of these leaders have been corrupted and they should be eliminated) Since we can't "eliminate" them either we will have to un elect the bad guys and elect others.

Honesty is more important than the party and he smaller the government the better.

Olbermann Reads the Riot Act to Obama

Seriously, what the fuck are you people doing over there? This is economic madness.

The 'people' haven't been driving this Titanic for a long time.

"In short, the first amendment — free speech for persons — which went into affect in 1791, applies to corporations, which were not recognized as the equivalents of persons until 1886. In short, there are now no checks on the ability of corporations or unions or other giant aggregations of power to decide our elections.

None. They can spend all the money they want. And if they can spend all the money they want — sooner, rather than later — they will implant the legislators of their choice in every office from President to head of the Visiting Nurse Service." -Keith Olbermann on the recent Supreme Court decision for unlimited campaign finance options.

If the church wants to decide this election, then the church needs to PAY ITS FUCKING TAXES like everybody else.

Listen to these crazy deluded morons, I have never heard such complete and utter bullshit in my entire life.

Make that "less than 25% of the voting age population"
Remember, they only poll registered voters. And 50% don't vote anyway!

Perhaps, but remember, 4 years into George Bush a "majority" of people got together and decided to elect him again... I think it is really dangerous to think that McCain can't win. In fact. I would say that if he does win, we deserve him as a country.
