Frasier's Celebrity Callers Compilation.

xxovercastxx says...

>> ^probie:

I never got into Frasier. Frasier Crane was my favorite character on Cheers and the Frasier on Frasier was not the Frasier on Cheers.

Perhaps this will help to explain the evolution of the character from one show to the next.

Soon after Frasier debuts on Cheers, he dates Diane Chambers (Shelley Long). They get engaged, but the relationship ends when Diane abandons him at the altar. Frasier nevertheless visits the bar often and eventually marries Lilith Sternin (Bebe Neuwirth), a fellow psychiatrist. Together, they have a son, Frederick, but Lilith cheats on Frasier with a colleague. The couple reconciles briefly, but between the end of Cheers and the start of Frasier, they separate permanently and divorce. During his separation with Lilith, Frasier publicly threatens suicide, to gain Lilith's attention and win her back, but the thought of his son stops him from doing so. Lilith gains custody of Frederick.

Team Fortress 2 art style meets Left 4 Dead.

The originality is just mind shattering

And TF2 itself was a rip/homage to the Pixar movie The Incredibles.

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)

My parents, being from Oklahoma and great country music fans had great expectations when they heard about this new show coming out. Finally a good country music show. When it debuted and was actually corn-pone humour and sterotyped characters they were kind of offended and we never really watched it. Buck Owens was great though.

bareboards2 says...

But did you have a dramatic soliloquy while chomping?

>> ^legacy0100:

There was a period in my life when I really did eat a lettuce by the head. It was my first time claiming independence from my parents and I was trying to save money by cooking at home. Of course, I was never good at it, and I was too lazy to prepare the ingredients I shopped.
Eventually I starting having my meals standing up in front of the kitchen sink, with my plates and forks on the kitchen counter, and the food that I'd eat would either come directly from the stove or from the sink, and I would bite into them right then and there.
Lettuce is quite sweet actually. All you need is some olive oil, ground pepper and vinegar. Yea.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 Trailer

Sagemind says...

I'm pretty sure that this is the fake "fan made" trailer that the studio started doing takedown notices about a week or two for.

Can someone confirm for sure if this is that trailer of if suddenly they released this? It looks very familiar and similar to the fake one?

ARTICLE:
Muggles the world over were quivering with excitement on Monday (April 18) when an alleged new "first peek" trailer for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" debuted online. Just one problem: It was a fake.

After the trailer was picked up by several sites -- from fan blogs to legitimate news gathering organizations -- Warner Bros. had the footage yanked off YouTube (though it's still available elsewhere) and issued this terse statement:

"Warner Bros. is not pulling the 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2' trailer. The alleged 'trailer' is not a trailer. It's a fan-created piece that uses the studio's intellectual property in an unauthorized way."

Since the movie hits theaters in July, we expect a trailer for *real* fans -- you know, the kind that don't get so excited about a hyped-up blockbuster that they take the initiative to create a tribute of sorts -- soon.

Wonder Woman's Super Powers On-Disply For You

kronosposeidon says...

The TV show was mostly based on her earliest days in comic books. Indeed, she originally didn't have the power of flight, but the writers gave it to her in 1960 - over 50 years ago now. They boosted her other powers slowly over time, just like they did with Superman (who now can approach the speed of light, but back in the beginning he was happy just to outrace bullets). Even when the TV show debuted her power of flight had been in existence for 15 years, but I think they chose to ignore it mainly because realistic human flight FX were too costly for most TV budgets back then.

I really believe they never tried to make a serious show. It was the '70s, and jiggling curves had finally become acceptable for American television. This is what they exploited. And to make a crappy, campy show like that last 4 years is a testament to how much one woman's bouncing boobs were cherished by male Americans of the time. Now it takes multiple sets of titties to make it these days. We've made great strides, haven't we? >> ^NetRunner:

@kronosposeidon I only really know her from the 70's show, and I admittedly mostly watched it for the, uhh, woodrows.
Sounds like in the comics she had a lot more power than her softcore TV version did. I don't recall her lifting anything much heavier than a car there, and she wasn't inhumanly fast, nor capable of flying without machinery.
I suppose she was a genius there too, but that only really manifested itself in her being able to occasionally answer trivia questions, not in the sense that Wonder Woman got presented as being uncannily intelligent in her actions or speech...
