Where you live outside toronto? I will be living in Rochester, NY soon. pretty close to toronto. I plan on gettting up to your area one day. Never been to canada. Its a sin!

Mississauga, our 6th largest city by population. We're kind of renowned for having an 88-year-old lady Mayor who's held office for the last 31 years straight. Not a whole lot to do here, but it's a 25 min drive to Toronto's downtown core. LOTS to do, definitely worth a trip up in the near future man.
'Reprise' was fucking EXCELLENT, thanks for bringing it to my attention with your intro sift! for real.

My pleasure, mate. I like your taste in music.

Thanks for taking a peek at my vids, brother-man.
RE:RE: Arts & Crafts
hmmm I just don't see the beaty-part, apart from "huh, neat idea", as in I get what his intention is, I just don't think the product is very succesful. I can understand setting limits for oneself to encourage creativity, by choosing a difficult medium or location, for instance.
When I look at the cloud in the video, though, I just think "here's a guy who is overstepping his capabilities - study fireworks for a couple of years and try again".
But then I'm sort of grumpy & eclectic when it comes to art, and very suspicious of things that get critics' acclaim.
Why thank you. I am so glad you noticed.

Too much concept, and not enough craft.
Wow. I wholeheartedly disagree. Do you know how much craft goes into something like this? I agree that much of its substance lies in the conceptual, but my god man, that is a beautifully crafted art object. Check out the documentary PBS's art:21 did on him. You may appreciate the work more if you see how much knowledge and artistry goes into his pieces.
Sorry for the terse comment, I just used your video as an occasion to whine about a pet peeve of mine, that a lot of artists these days only do just enough work to convey some concept or message, and don't particularly care about the quality of the end result.
The half-hearted mushroom cloud is a good example - or Damien Hirst paying some contractor to do the actual hands-on work of making his pieces.
Not much love seems to go into it, is what I'm saying, I guess.

ok..so its a treat for me,this song having not one but TWO amazing rock voices all wrapped in one ball of gooey awesomeness!
Your welcome! You seem to have a lot of good sifts going . I saw an illustrated description in one of Hirst's books I have before seeing this video. The stick figure guy was a little more humors than him explaining it.

Thanks for the generous upvotes, matey! And I was happy to see the Hirst video, very interesting stuff, though I find his work kind of alienating sometimes. Keep on siftin' those goodies!
Thank You!!!!!
