Tout au contraire, I would prefer concealed carry licensed individuals such as myself keep the training basic, concentrating on safety and the law. Training them to be trigger happy, shoot first ask questions later types, like cops, won't help our cause. In fact it will probably only result in further restrictions on who could be licensed. Both the legislation and the practice of CCW require people to act as ordinary citizens would in that situation because they have the right to protect themselves, too. If they can get the guy to leave without killing him the more power to us. The pharmacist missed, but it is impossible to conclude that the situation ended badly. It is ok for us to sit here and judge the situation from basic video footage, but the cops were there themselves and I am sure they are able to judge whether it was safe to approach.

The police were very good and brave to not have taken the "easy" way out and shot him. If they had tasered him - there is a possibility that he could have died. How do we know he did not have problems mentally? At least taking him in alive they are able to give him a fair trial.

You give a cop a taser and it's likely he'll become too trigger happy and instead of using brains and techniques, a cop could easily become lazy and just tase people when ever a situation become sticky without thinking about it first.

Yesterday I was just kind of disturbed by the idea that it is way to easy to point blame at either side of this bullshit fight when in reality they are on the same side. The side of religion. Both sides adhere to identities based on made-up crap and I'm sick of it. I'm not saying that a world free of religion would be perfect, but clearly this is the prime example of how god probably doesn't exist. If there was an all-powerful god, he would probably have some uniformity in the way people worship him.
