Man With the Iron Fists- Quentin Tarantino- Red Band Trailer

swedishfriend says...

He was a star in the last season of Californication. Did a great job, was in almost every episode. Still makes music. Been an actor in lots of films.

RZA is Robert Fitzgerald Diggs. Grammy winning artist and a member of what was the Wu-Tang Clan. He hasn't done much since the 90s that's recognizable or of note except that he made it into the game Draw Something which apparently revitalized his career enough to let him direct a movie.>> ^Deano:
Who the hell is RZA? Looks like it might as well have been directed by QT.

He also scored the first Kill Bill movie, which, I guess is how he convinced QT to let him do this.

Best comment on it so far:
"It's like a teenager wrote a script with all the class things they'd like to see in a movie and actually did a good job"

Louis CK Wins 4 Comedy Awards and Feels Progressively Worse

rottenseed says...

Actually I know a LOT about Pootie Tang. I know all about how the project was taken out of his hands because the studio was afraid it'd lose money (which it did anyway). I'm not saying it would've been better had he done it, nor that he regrets the project because he learned so much while doing it, but once somebody takes control of a project, they have to assume some of the responsibility.>> ^Trancecoach:

dude already left the business... ever heard of Pootie Tang?
>> ^rottenseed:
Louis strikes me as the type of guy that will leave the business before others think he's ready. I think that once he's out of shit to say or he's not having fun anymore he'll disappear (or shift his efforts)>> ^Yogi:
Don't worry Louis you were right and it's all downhill from here.

Upvoting for learning something new. I don't love a lot of hip hop... but I do love Gangstarr, Kool Kieth/Dr. Octagon, MF Doom, PE, NWA, Dälek, EL-P, tribe, old Wu-Tang... and some others. Noticed on Youtube people saying IT is whack while dropping Big L as some holy grail of hip-hop. And holy shit, how have I never heard of him before?! He was great! Adding Big L to hip hop I love - Put It On was a perfect beginning point for me.
