Disappearing votes? (Sift Talk Post)

Viewed Videos Reappearing In Queue (Sift Talk Post)

This is definitely getting weird. I voted on this vid yesterday, and I saw it in the queue again this morning.

Another anomaly - I voted on this video when I first saw it. It showed up in the queue again for me while using "hide videos you have viewed" option, and my vote was gone.

Also, the videos I've recently viewed list that usually shows up below is not there.

I no longer see the recently promoted box in the queue. Promoted vids show up in the queue after 3 hours, regardless of whether I've seen them.

Guy proposes to girl through a TV commercial

rembar says...

Well, I'm not usually a big cute-channeler, but this is one I just couldn't pass up. There's this this site called My Super Proposal, which is a blog about how this guy who decided he wanted to propose to his girlfriend on a TV commercial during the half-time of the Superbowl. He asked for help and money over a period of maybe half a year to buy the air time during half-time, but got bumped at the last minute. A bunch of people thought it was a scam or some sort of viral ad. Since the Superbowl ad didn't happen, he bought time during Veronica Mars (his girlfriend's favorite TV show) instead, and proposed yesterday, with the video posted on iFilm today.

Like I said, I usually don't sift cute, but this is pretty amazing.

This man won $1000 by wrestling a giraffe to make a viral ad

joedirt says...

It's worth tens of thousands if enough people can spread it around the internet and have enough people view it. Then you put a superbowl ad, or whatever out there with someone wrestling a giraffe, and blamo, instant campaign and product association.

All these viral ads are just to seed their traditional main stream marketing efforts. So, yeah they have millions of dollars to throw around.
