Pacific Rim Uprising - Official Trailer
It looks like it meets my requirements. Giant robots fighting other giant robots and monsters in a city in daylight. The rest looks pretty weak, but I'm up to watch the Giant Fighting Robots Special Effects show.

I want to see Robots fight Cthulhu
Join the Jaeger Uprising
I hope it's about the robots fighting each other rather than the monsters. Or maybe the monsters are there too, whatever, but I want to see the robots fight each other.
Also, during daylight this time please. So, to recap, giant robots, fighting each other so as I can see them properly while they do it, and I'll buy a ticket.
Megabots Robot Duel Has Assembeled Some Epic Help

Saw Transformers 2 last night... what a pile of garbage. (Blog Entry by MarineGunrock)
You people have insanely high expectations for a Michael Bay movie. I knew going in that it was gonna be a CG robot fight fest with absolutely no script, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
What the hell were you expecting? Shakespeare?
Transformers 2: Entire movie in 1 minute flat.
Wow, that's a bad parody. Don't get me wrong, the movie was mostly just giant cgi robots fighting, but that was a bad, cheap parody. There's gotta be a better way to make that joke.
On the other hand, maybe the fact that I enjoy watching giant cgi robots fighting is coloring my judgement.
Robot Battle: is spinning a good strategy?
The idea of spinning as a attack is very risking in these robot fights... You see, if you spin really fast when you collide (as shown here) it delievers a power hit, however at the same time, it stops your spinning and leaves you open to an attack until you get up to speed again... however most spinners usually have weight to that they don't go flying after they hit... this one though didn't have weight, therefore itself went flying after every hit...
If you use a spinner, you want to end the fight fast, for if you don't, there is a good chance the spinner will stop and thus you are really done for...
