Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies

newtboy says...

I made a 1/2 batch last night, 10 cookies, and they were amaze balls. Just a hint of chocolate bacon flavor, but the grease made the skin crispy while the insides were still soft. I tried an old cookie trick on half by rolling them in powdered sugar before baking….YUM!
It’s going to be hard to make cookies without bacon from now on.

I’ve been cooking and baking since I was 4-5…my parents sent me to preschool cooking classes. I rarely eat out….I’m too cheap (and picky).

I think I would have to taste one before making a whole batch of them first. Then again I don't do any cooking or baking . I pay people to do that for me.

Cocaine Found In West Wing

No, moron….it’s powdered cocaine, that’s the degenerate son Don Jr’s.
If it was crack, you might be right, but it’s not.

Someone please create a financially viable use for these (and similar insect plagues) and start harvesting them.
Protein powder? Animal feed? Fertilizer? They’ve got to be good for something.

Don’t you ever get tired getting called out on your blatant, stupid lies?

You must be a masochist, or hate yourself. You make yourself look like a bigoted ignorant sexist moron every day spewing lies and nonsense from your cock holster.

Every single day you post, you post lies and false propaganda….then get proven a liar and gullible ignoramus. Why do you like that so much? It’s clearly intentional. Do you get paid for each response to your trolling? It’s the only thing that makes sense.

Edit-
BTW, how are you enjoying MTG floundering, twisting, and getting caught outright lying on the stand?
Lawyer : Do you remember saying Nancy is a traitor?
Greene: I’m not answering that, no, it’s speculation. I didn’t say that.
Lawyer: Pull up exhibit 5 please…
Greene: Hold on now, wait…

She lost her case right there….continuing….

Lawyer: directing you to page 4, the paragraph that starts out “she’s a traitor to our country.
MTG lawyer: I object, what possible relevance could it be that she had political disagreements that result in hyperbole that is commonly used…(it’s precisely what the case is about)
Judge: overruled
Lawyer: ms Green, did you say “she’s a traitor to our country, she’s guilty of treason, she took an oath to protect American citizens, she gives aid and comfort to our enemies who would illegally invade our land. That’s what treason is, and our law representatives and senators can be kicked out and no longer serve in our government (irony!), and it’s a crime punishable by death is what Treason is. Nancy Pelosi is guilty of treason.” Did you say those words?
Green: I said, I, this is what I was telling you. She doesn’t uphold our laws….
Lawyer: it’s a simple yes or no question, did you say those words?
Green lawyer: objection, harumph harumph harumph.
Judge: did you say those words that are quoted on the bottom of that? Did you say that?
Green: According to this cnn article I did, I don’t remember.
Judge: do you recall saying it?
Green: I don’t recall saying all of this, but I do recall having said this about…I totally disagree with the border issues.

She is so toast not even powdered toast man could save her.

I would like to point out that she directly said Pelosi is a traitor and should be punished with death, and thinks that’s perfectly acceptable, but she made multiple police reports and tried to get Kimmel arrested for saying “where’s Will Smith when we need him”, implying she needs a good slap….that she thinks deserves prison time.
Such infantile snowflakes Trump made out of Republicans. Whining little bitches, one and all.

Pedophile Bohbert is next (she helped her husband intentionally expose his penis to 2 YOUNG girls in public, supporting him through his conviction and sentences.). Then cocaine orgy Cawthorn. Party of debauchery….HA!

Rich people do pay their fair share. Its called tax code. They did not write the code our Leaders did.
So don't bitch at rich people, bitch at our leaders

According to the latest IRS data for 2018— the top 1 percent of taxpayers paid $616 billion in income taxes. That amounts to 40 percent of all income taxes paid, the highest share since 1980..

Just proves republicans also have stupid people who do not think .

Worse yet is that there are leaders who believe this false narrative also. They are themselves rich.. If they are so moved into paying their fair share why don't they just write a check to the IRS.

Better yet is to quit spending money on shit we don't need with money we don't have.

Will Smith smacks Chris Rock on stage at Oscars Uncensored

newtboy says...

I can at times be all three, for sure, but it’s not something I would be proud about.

There’s a big difference between verbal confrontation and this.

I still say it’s impossible for me to believe both intelligent stars (with their pr teams) and the Oscars all got together and said this would be a good trick to play for ratings. Maybe I’m naive, I just can’t believe that many people would be that stupid with time to think it over.

The best evidence it wasn’t staged came from Colbert….Will Smith isn’t that good of an actor! *slam*

I’ve spent a lot of time in the bad part of towns, living in East Palo Alto before gentrification, etc. I just kind of expect every random third person to be armed and a powder keg. Confronting a stranger in anger over a joke, even a joke at my wife’s expense, seems risky. I’ve seen people stabbed over less.
In her physical defense, I’m happy to take that risk.

vil said:

What did you say? Say that again! Come back! What did you mean by that? Who do you think you are to insult us like that? Apologize instantly or..

Yeah context matters, but if I dont stand up for my wife when she feels insulted or endangered, and it does not have to be a physical or escalatory response, I can expect to be considered part of the problem. Sometimes you cant keep sitting on the fence and be all moral and philosophical about stuff. Either you fight or you retreat, a quick decision must be made on how far you want to take it.

That is why I think it was staged. No party planned to follow up, take this further. If theyd never speak about it (or to each other) again, I would believe it.

LOL at my wife wanting me to take risks. Unless I was taking on a perceived risk to her.

A brush with fentanyl almost killed this deputy trainee

SFOGuy says...

Yah, maybe--if you tried to argue it was skin absorbed. Sure--it could have been a panic attack? Maybe? Or staged? Dunno. It's still true that Fentanyl is terrifyingly powerful.

But if they were rousting that car for longer or had earlier contact--PubMed says nasal inhalation takes 7 minutes to effectiveness.

There's also the terrifying possibility he ran into sufentanil. Heroin/morphine is given a potency of 1X; Fentanyl is given a potency of 50X to 100X heroin/morphine; Sufentanil--why was this invented?--has a baseline potency of 7.5X greater than Fentanyl---which makes if between 375X and 750X more potency microgram for microgram than heroin/morphine?

I'm also always struck that the lethal overdose amount of just regular old Fentanyl is--about the size of one grain of rice you see it in a glass vial. The other comparison I've seen is that's about the amount of white powder that would sit in one layer on Lincoln's ear on a penny.

NIOSH says anyone messing around with suspected fentanyl should wear PPE--and then very, very carefully discard it and wash down afterwards.

There's a lot of internet traffic that claims this was essentially "faked" by the department. His controlled fall, some lack of urgency by the trainer, good color/not suffocating... Also a lot of "this is not how fentanyl works" from medical professionals.

Trump’s Vast And Ongoing Project To Steal The Election

newtboy says...

Oh you intellectually challenged, lying, ethic and moral free pedophilia supporter. That's absolutely not true.

The FBI and Homeland security say unambiguously that right wing extremists are the fastest growing and most dangerous terrorist organizations in America, not the left, and by far the most active. THEY are the ones starting fires, shooting police, and sending bombs and powders through the mail dozens of times, not lefties. Boogaloo boys alone eclipse all left wing destruction in deaths and damage, and they're only one of dozens.

Try saying something pro democrat at a Trump event, see how much they love free speech then, if you live. You're so infantile, exaggerating any left wing interuption to an attack on the constitution but right wing murders are nothing burgers. You must be morbidly obese eating three to four burgers a day.

Um....is Obama still president, or did he peacefully walk out in Jan 17? Did he ever once even threaten a coup like Trump does daily? Nope, not once.
So moronic, infantile, and self reflective Bob. It's blatant to everyone you're projecting hard.

Republicans aren't the ones burning down shit, banning free speech on campus, creating violence.

99% of violence last 3+ years s from the left refusal to acknowledge a peaceful transfer to power because Hillary lost.

Allassonic/Hot Chocolate Effect

SFOGuy says...

Now I'm wondering if the powder has anything at all to do with it; or it's just the entrained air bubbles from the stirring being released and disappearing...although your statement about "equilibrium" seems to indicate the powder (until full dissolved) holds onto the air bubbles/supplies a surface for nucleation (I think I used that correctly).

So: would talcum powder work? hmmm

newtboy said:

Works with most hot liquids with powders, I think I first noticed it in a mug of instant hot cider......

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_chocolate_effect

The hot chocolate effect, also known as the allassonic effect, is a phenomenon of wave mechanics first documented in 1982 by Frank Crawford, where the pitch heard from tapping a cup of hot liquid rises after the addition of a soluble powder. It was first observed in the making of hot chocolate or instant coffee, but also occurs in other situations such as adding salt to supersaturated hot water or cold beer. Recent research has found many more substances which create the effect, even in initially non-supersaturated liquids.
It can be observed by pouring hot milk into a mug, stirring in chocolate powder, and tapping the bottom of the mug with a spoon while the milk is still in motion. The pitch of the taps will increase progressively with no relation to the speed or force of tapping. Subsequent stirring of the same solution (without adding more chocolate powder) will gradually decrease the pitch again, followed by another increase. This process can be repeated a number of times, until equilibrium has been reached. Upon initial stirring, entrained gas bubbles reduce the speed of sound in the liquid, lowering the frequency. As the bubbles clear, sound travels faster in the liquid and the frequency increases

Yes, but not all. I just can't convince my brother in Texas to forego his symbolic libertarian vote this year in favor of saving the country, but my lifelong Republican mother in California is voting for Biden.

Don't count your chickens before they're hatched. Guaranteed this will be the dirtiest, most dishonest, most interfered with by foreign powers, most unfounded October surprises, most rigged election in living memory.
Nothing's guaranteed.
For example, Imagine if some early ballots are found with white powder in them, slowing deliveries further, and 95% of mail in ballots never get delivered....Trump likely wins and blames Antifa. Expect nothing less.

Imo, there are two simple things people can do to help keep mail in ballots from overwhelming the usps....1) don't order packages for delivery after Oct 14 or earlier, and 2) hand deliver your ballot to an official drop box or polling place, making certain to sign wherever necessary.

There's also a number of 3rd-party voters that will be voting "the lessor of two evils" this election. These videos help ease their minds too.

When Trump loses this election by a very wide margin it will send a huge message to those in charge and those who lost.

Police fire (paintball?) at residents on their front porch

jimnms says...

I don't know what point you're trying to make. Nothing I said was incorrect. For a gun to fire simunition, it has to have special modifications. Whether the modifications are easy or hard had nothing to do with the point I made, which is that a gun modified to fire simunition can't fire regular ammunition. So if they were using simunition, there is no chance of one of them grabbing the wrong "clip" and accidentally killing someone.

A 40mm LTL round sounds about like a pistol being fired. Here is a video I found doing a quick search.

If you watch the video again, between 23 and 24 seconds you can see a green powder cloud, which looks exactly like this 40mm marking powder grenade, which according to the manufacturer, has an effective range of 5 to 120 feet.

It also has a warning: "This product can expose you to chemicals including Lead Salts and Hexavalent Chromium, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer, and Lead Salts, which are known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm."

newtboy said:

In most rifles, it only requires swapping the bolt, something a qualified person can do in seconds, in others, the upper receiver, maybe a 1-2 minute job no harder than proper cleaning. Pistol conversion kits are similarly simple.
Don't be fooled that it's some long, difficult process so unlikely for that reason, it's simplistic and fast....and the conversion is just as easily and quickly reversible.

Edit: That didn't sound like an 40mms I've heard, more like a 9mm pistol with a light load. Any kind of 40mm round at that range would be brutal

No, he's a liar plain and simple and we know it.

That means anything he claims is quite suspect and not to be believed, just like this "attack" he staged.

He may have been attacked, that's what he was looking for, but no one cares because 1) he went there looking for it and 2) his injuries are self reported so quite suspect and 3)he's a known liar who just as likely hurt himself (if he was hurt at all) in order to blame the milkshake throwers.

I watched the video, I saw no "combat clubs". I saw plenty of totally liquid milk shakes with no powder or clumps, so no cement, and the close-up thumbnail that confirms that.

I also saw a known liar and rabble rouser intentionally picking a fight with a known violent gang who hoped to get attacked on camera so he could condemn them, and you bought it hook line and sinker. I think you know it.

Odd, you aren't as upset by the lack of coverage of all the innocent people violently attacked by Patriot Prayer gangs, and there are plenty of them.

bobknight33 said:

Yep He deserved this beat down for pushing such a fake video.

He was wronged plain and simple. And you know it.
