Who's optimism cost more American lives? To date, it's Clinton 4-Trump 5500 (expected to rise to a minimum of 100000-250000 in the coming weeks). Trump's optimism is going to be more deadly to America than 9-11, the Iraq war, and the Afghanistan war combined...10-25 times more dead by the most optimistic predictions based on 100% compliance with social distancing and no surprises.
Trump's incompetence has now risen to the level of being the deadliest man in America ever by far. If he's a wartime president like he's labeled himself, these are war crimes. String him up, string him up, string him up......

Maybe, but I'm not paid well with extraordinary benefits and authority or charged with public safety. They are. I don't have paid therapy to get over the treatment they give and I receive, they do. I don't have immunity from consequences, they do. I don't have a gang willing to lie, cheat, steal, threaten,etc on my behalf, they do. I don't fight tooth and nail for my right to lie to you for my benefit and your detriment, they do.
My cynicism doesn't destroy and end lives with accusations, lies, and bullets...theirs does.

Nothing is going to change. I was a helpful, hopeful person until reality made me change, my helpfulness and optimism about people never changed a cynical one into an optimist, but they sure changed my optimism to cynicism. I've too often seen open hearted 'benefits of a doubt' be exploited, and it's exceptionally rare it's been earned or rewarded. I would say if you aren't cynical about humans in general, and authorities without exception, you aren't paying attention and you'll end up regretting it.

That said, I'm not saying don't be helpful, just be careful about it or prepared to pay for your good deeds. Edit: I am saying don't put yourself in jeopardy to help cartel gang members. They don't warrant the risk.

Interesting to see how it selected that upper-left corner as an integral part of its strategy, despite its inefficiency. I'm guessing it wouldn't have developed that had there been a lower number of moves allowed - would cause it to favor strategies which optimize movement a bit better.

Another entrant in the incredibly long line of adaptation / adaptive learning / intelligent systems / artificial intelligence demonstrations that aren't. The agents act based on a set of rules / freedoms/constraints prescribed by a human. The agents "learn" based on the objective functions defined by the human. With enough iterations (how many times did the narrator say "millions" in the video) . Sure, it is a good demonstration of how adaptive learning works, but the hype-fog is getting a big thick and sickening folks. This is a very complex optimization problem being solved with impressive and current technologies, but it is certainly not behavioural intelligence.

I watched this the other day before it made it to videosift and thought to myself, Amazons programmers must not be too bright when each picker has one of those handhelds and should know their current location and optimize picks based on location vs ping ponging people all over the warehouse and like one person said being in row 50 and being given 10 secs to get to a row in the 70's is stupid.... Running in the workplace is usually frowned upon for safety reasons and thats what it would take while pushing a cart...

If the record is 99.9% due to the equipment, give it to the engineer, not the ballast. ;-)
Eric Barone hit 141 on his own with some downhill, but no tow, no draft. That's more impressive to me, but still largely a function of his equipment.
I've never topped 40 without a draft or hill, and I used to ride 25-30 miles a day.

The fastest unassisted human powered bicycle speed is 89.5 mph. That record I can accept without an asterisk.

Edit: using that full faring recumbent bike and the dragster tow in/draft the dragster would always be the limiting factor, not the bike rider. The tow has to do with making it possible, wind resistance is the limiting factor on bicycles, but even without any getting up to that speed using human power is not possible. She needed fresh legs to keep up for under one minute under optimal conditions.
I think pro riders don't go for this record because they don't see it as a legitimate riding record, just a dangerous equipment test.

Aiming is relative to what you want to achieve. From "spray and pray" to taking many minutes per shot in Palma and F-class. You might take 10-12 shots per minute with a semi-auto at this distance. Others will aim and shoot at 5 to 10 times that rate.

How about this though - first go read "On Killing" by Dave Grossman, which covers this topic, then go search on Youtube for the many videos (I checked just now and there are plenty) showing how full auto hits much less, (and the shots where you do hit are mainly sub-optimal) compared to aimed fast shots in semi-auto, then go join a gun club and try some competitive shooting. I'd be surprised if at the end of that you still imagine full-auto is what you think it is.

Also fun to watch are videos of guys like Jerry Miculek who can fire in semi-auto at insane rates of fire.

Now, lets be clear, I'm not saying full-auto doesn't have its uses, because it does. I'm taking umbrage with your claim that you have more control in full-auto (you do not) and that you get more hits on target with full auto across a series of targets (you do not).

Oh ya, I miss-read your post. I think this fidelity is probably doable in games now, or maybe soon since games like Star Citizen are able to load SO MUCH geometry into a scene. Sounds like they are optimizing quite a bit by using vertex offsets for the face shapes instead of having to load all the extra geo as target shapes.

What this company (snapperstech.com) did is put together an upgraded control "rig" to manipulate facial expressions, taking into account muscle limits and interactions, skin elasticity, etc.

-Adaptive rig: which allows combining any number of expressions using optimized list of blendshapes.
-Real facial muscles constraints: the advanced rig logic simulates real facial muscles constraints.
-Advanced skin shader (for Maya and Unreal): holds up to 16 wrinkles maps and 16 dynamic diffuse maps with micro details and pores stretching.
-Easy to manipulate using facial controllers and/or GUI.
-Compatible with all game engines and animation packages.
-Smooth transition between all the expressions.
-Adjustment layer: freeform manipulation of multiple regions of the face to create unlimited variations of the same expression.

The real-time rendering part is achieved by the Unreal engine itself. The final rendering performance still relies mainly on the hardware used.

Ignoring the rambling narrator, the few numbers we can see say even 200 GtC passes the tipping point in over 1/3 of models, assuming emissions peak soon, decline to current levels by 2030 and then decline much faster (all total pie in the sky optimism) hits 2 degrees rise by 2100, and the best case scenario estimate with aggressive mitigation (that we aren't doing) and as yet uninvented technology is 250-540GtC.
That's total failure and unavoidable doom.
