Hurricane Sandy's Amazing Force: Storm Uproots Giant Trees

Gutspiller says...

This is what happens when you water your trees with your sprinkler system, despite the rain comment in the video.

If the tree you plant is going to grow this big, you should really ensure that you water it enough for it to live, but also not so much that its roots don't have to "dig deep" to get moist soil.

Sad that the news broadcast didn't use that opportunity to inform their watchers that didn't know that.

I totally did this on the weekend. Had corn ready in 4 minutes 30 seconds. After cutting it, it comes right out, ready for consumtpion. Clean of silk and really moist.

This video should be renamed "Corn on the cob in 4 and a half minutes" including treatment of time of butter and salt and pepper.

Oh sh*t. Watched the video again. It says 8 minutes. Oh damn.

Well know that it's good in 4 minutes too, if they're fresh corns.

One of the problems I have with a lot of pancakes is they're too dry, I shouldn't need a tub of butter and a gallon of syrup to make them moist enough that they don't get stuck in my throat halfway down.
I'm dubious on the use of melted butter, I generally find vegetable oil produces better results for moistness in baked goods.

Agreed. I don't like a lot of restaurant pancakes for this reason. I always use olive oil and add fruit to mine (see above recipe).

Loads of fun, but I'm kinda mad because it turns out the "fake" ending movies that leaked turned out to, well, actually be the ending movies for the game.

Oh well, at least the cake was delicious and moist.

How I keeps my turkey moist.

1. Put an orange, some carrot and celery sticks and an onion inside the cavity of the bird.
2. Rub the skin with butter. Cut a few small holes so the butter can get inside.
3. Cover the turkey with strips of bacon. (as a bonus, you get to eat the bacon when you are done, or put in into your green beans or stuffing)
