Nothing

Easy Crustless Quiche Recipe

Flash 10 is here

burdturgler says...

Feels like a lot of ... nothing. I guess I just don't give a shit about flipping my videos around when I'm watching them. I really want less stuff like this. Minimalistic interface. Improved performance. Better resolutions. That's what I want. Maybe I'm missing the point. Upvote anyway because it's interesting and I'm sure there's a lot more to it.

"auto-upvote for original submitter"

yes please. the way it works now is just silly. i know i am here only to kill time but still.

im still new so not too sure about what i should comment, just some random things for now:

-design: i love how the site-owners like to keep this site minimalistic and i hope they will keep this in their top-10 list of what this site needs. some remarks though: there is a LOT of white. my mousewheel has never had to endure so much well, wheeling. one vid-listing seems to take up almost half of my screen (on a standard monitor-resolution). would love to also have the ability to view vids listed only with title+screenshot+votes and have the ability to see 50/100 vids on 1 page (esp. @ unsifted)

-took me a little to long to realise how to get to the sifthomepage when i was at a channelpage. (yes, its in the main menu, but maybe link the videosift part of the title ('music videosift') to the frontpage.

-i always like more statistics. little graphs about the number of users, number of vids, number of views number of votes, etc.

-a girls-who-wrestle channel, maybe even a girls-who-wrestle site like whatsitcalled escalocopter, escecopter (i wouldnt visit, but boy would that get popular, or is there already a site for people who like to see vids of girls wrestling?)

-the logo text looks pixelated (not sure what the word is, but you understand)

hmm ill add some more later.

And please take simplicity into consideration of you feel the need to go mucking about in the layout of the site. I like it because it's very minimalist. Other sites just have way too much going on.

Google Chrome (Google attempts a browser) (Blog Entry by BicycleRepairMan)

kronosposeidon says...

It's lightning fast, but I miss some of my extensions that I have on Firefox. I like Foxytunes, Gmail notifier, Forecastfox, Screengrab, and the StumbleUpon toolbar. I know Google wanted to make this a minimalist browser, but I like being able to customize with add-ons.

Still, it's very nice (especially because of the speed), and I see myself using it a lot in the future.

TF2: Meet the Red Team

This was awesome - thought the heavy would totally go uber in that confrontation though.

I was impressed by how they DIDN'T overplay their hand though.

In a way, it was minimalist *art. *shortfilms too.

The evolution of the cell phone

shatterdrose says...

kulpims, I've always had the exact opposite problem. I wanted MP3 player, Calendar, Notes, photo slideshow and so forth in my phone and until the iphone had never found any of that. Granted, the iphone has it's shortcomings too, but overall it has most of the features I was looking for.

RedSky, I'm one of those people who wanted everything integrated. Yes, I'm still waiting for a decent camera phone, but if need be, I have something on my phone. I don't like carrying around an MP3 player, a camera, a notepad, a dayrunner, a map, and so forth when I can have everything fit in one pocket. I'm extremely minimalistic and prefer to carry nothing extra if I have to.

But, my parents on the other hand, can barely figure out how to call people let alone use the built-in MP3 player, txt msg'ing, GPS navigation and everything else their FREE phone does. So I can agree with everyone there, that some people just don't use their tools to their fullest capacities, just like people who buy brand new computers when a outdated Windows 98 machine with a 766mhz processor is more than they'll ever need. Heck, my aunt is still using a Gateway with a 1.33mhz and 256mb RAM. It's her first computer, and she's never upgraded, but then again, she's never really used it.

Dude Tries To Make A Peanut Butter Sammich on Salvia.

antimatter says...

that's hilarious. salvia, one strange ticket.
I took a bong rip sitting alone in the dark in closet of some powerful extract.
I turned into the plant and like a vine grows along a wall, I morphed into the floor I was sitting on and felt some sort vegetable overmind trying to talk to me all while flying thru a warp which felt almost too fast, almost violent in chaos and strong sensation of flying. Then before I knew it, the world came back and stepping out of my closet, I saw a cristalline flash radiating from every object in my room and I think I saw objects as pure concepts, not matter but merely ideas. Each object looked so fucking singular and purposeful, as if glowing/hovering/rotating all at the same time, that I understood a deeper minimalist approach to objects.
Anyway, at one point through all that, I saw cathedral looking archways in my carpet with people dancing inside them, maybe elves.
Good good stuff. I like the objectiveness of this drug, as if it's a parallel world everyone can just step in and start pointing things out in common.
Terrence Mckenna and others...
Ok enough for now...
