Yes, have heard of him. I would need to go and re-listen to see if it's coincidence that I've upvoted all the ones without him and none of the ones with him I think it might be...
- This is the kit
- Merz
- I am Kloot
- The Swell Season
- Melpo Mene
- Alela Diane
As for adding Lisa Hannigan... I didn't really think I needed to! I spent a bit of time doing a playlist though. A few non-folk ones may have crept in along with the borderline ones. Feedback welcome.

Have you guys ever heard of Damien Rice, btw? Lisa Hannigan & him used to be a thing. She features a fair bit on his gorgeous gorgeous album "O".>> ^lampishthing:
And, cough , Lisa Hannigan...>> ^oritteropo:
I feel somewhat underprepared! Since all my favourite performers have at least one vid here on vs already, perhaps a eurofolk playlist is in order? I've been following Le Cargo, since every google search of bands I liked ended up there, and posting my favourite ones here.
For a non-exhaustive list to start, I would recommend these English bands:
And these from the rest of Europe
I welcome any other suggestions, too

Could I request a European folk listening list from you in this thread, oritteropo?
You find some nice stuff.
Lisa Hannigan - Passenger

Thanks Thanks for the quality, too. I really like that video, I thought it might've sifted straight away... but no.
edit: Now it has, and thanks again

Hi Kronosposeidon, you might like this one for the acoustic guitar:

Melpo Mene - I adore you
Maybe a bit, but isn't the song about suicide?
I think Holes was a bit happier.>> ^critical_d:
nice song...but they both look a little depressed..maybe it's just me.

You might like http://videosift.com/video/Melpo-Mene-Holes too then. Actually there are a few really nice acoustic guitar performances lurking in my pqueue.
In reply to this comment by Kesavaram:
The session is acoustic, the guitar is classic..
Very nice music

Yes, it's not far off! A little bit of vote seeking should just about get it now... or I can ignore it and it'll come along soon anyway. Three bored livemusic fans doing a pqueue dive would be enough at this point. You can't be far off an assister badge after all this, either How many does it take?
Did you happen to check out http://videosift.com/video/Melpo-Mene-Holes when you were promoting everything in my pqueue? It's the other one with the lovely Chiara (Snakes and Lions is a solo piece by Erik). I'm not 100% sure, but even though "I adore you" is the one that sticks in your head, I might like Holes a bit more.
In reply to this comment by deathcow:
Thats great news : ) the livevideo collective is better for it. Bronze star... coming up.

Thanks for all the promotes! I went away for a few days, and came back to find that, with your help, five videos had published in my absence
Melpo Mene - I adore you
