If I may recommend some, as some artists are better shows-men than others. Freddie McGregor, Half Pint, and Barrington Levy. Barrington Levy is full of pep for an old fart. He really knows how to amp you up. Also, any chance to see the Specials, you should take.

Agreed - his voice & cadence were among my favourite from that era of reggae.
I've only had the pleasure of seeing Toots & the Maytals, The Abyssinians and Lee Perry live - as more and more of them drop off the planet, I realize I need to get out & hear them in person before its too late.

I'm sad I've never seen him live. I've seen many reggae legends perform but never him.

Toots & the Maytals sing Take Me Home, Country Roads
nice - saw Toots & the Maytals a couple years ago. One of the most fun shows with the most amazingly diverse audience I've been to. An amazing live performer.

A Jamaican word which means good things; pure and good.
Toots, of the famous Jamaican reggae band Toots and the Maytals, explains that "Maytal is a Jamaican word which means good things. It's like ital, it means the same thing — pure and good."
Amy Winehouse taking a line
sounds like a cover of 'monkey man' by toots and the maytals
i'd like to think the crowd were mostly cheering the music and dancing, rather than the half-assed identity statement.
