Yes We Can. Obama stories are shared. What a guy.

Welp, here we go. I don't believe in forbidden words, but we do have a rule against hate speech - lest we turn into a Youtube comment thread.

There's a reason why VideoSift has at least slightly more intelligent commentary than Youtube - we do care about what you write here and always want you to consider that there are humans hanging on the ends of keyboards writing comments.

VideoSift is also akin to a club, a very loose one (we let anybody in) but we reserve the right to kick you out if you violate our rules.

Gman, although I would say you have contributed a great deal of controversial but worthwhile commentary to this community, the line has been crossed.

VideoSift is not your venue for free speech. We have rules and we live by them.

With much deliberation and consideration, I hereby ban Gorillaman from VideoSift. May Siftbot have mercy on your soul.

Intolerance is a virtue.

With all love and respect to my friends in this thread, I wasn't joking and I don't apologise. Barack Obama is a subhuman nigger and he should be strung up to die like a nigger.

When you participate in the sort of widespread oppression and generalised evil that he has, both as an individual and a member of an unabashedly fascist government; when you, say, lock free people in cages because you don't approve of the things they choose to put in their own bodies; when you commit those crimes against humanity, you lose any claim you might have had to be considered a part of our species.

So he's a nigger - as you would expect him to be, plebiscite systems won't elect human beings while humanity is in the extreme minority in every country in the world.

The fact that you're all less concerned with the hundreds of thousands of real lives this megalomaniacal nazi turd-demon has destroyed (what a guy) than you are with a little name-calling, speaks to the total moral degeneracy of today's faux-progressive orthodoxy.

Don't...Don't be this guy...

Even with Accessibility turned on, Mac OS is much less keyboard-only friendly than Windows. Blind people never use a mouse, and prefer Windows (at least the few that I've met)

Although iOS is quite good for blind people... I guess the 2 teams don't really talk to each other.

Trying to adjust to a macbook, it does seem like they've gone crazy with the keyboard shortcuts. Naw, you don't need a delete key or home or end or f-lock, if users aren't willing to play that thing like a piano they don't deserve us.

Pandering more than slightly to the FPS puritan crowd. There doesn't seem to be any frilly bullshit going on - the type that drives oldschool FPS players crazy like calling in air strikes, perks, experience, head bob and realistic climbing motions, reality physics.

I mean i'm forever bitching about how most FPS these days make you feel like you're waist deep in treacle, nothing feels crisp and reactive. I complain that in the old days we didn't have crowd control effects where you'd take your hands off the mouse&keyboard for up to 5 seconds because of someone's second special attack or 'ultimate'. Or that one hero type will always beat another hero type - I was in top teams/national teams for both HLTFC and TF2, i know my stuff regarding class based team FPS, i'm not just talking shit/whining there.

They ram those statements home at the end - pure speed, pure skill, pure fps. I don't believe it for one second, but they clearly want people like me to be hyped over this.

Grilling Food on my Laptop....big mistake.

When I still worked for Apple, I had a safety issue escalated to engineering over a Macbook Pro. The battery had apparently ruptured and began jetting flames out of the keyboard area. The owner tried to douse it with a cheapo fire extinguisher, one of the powder ones you can get from discount stores, but it only briefly went out.

Since it was still smoking, he was going to carry it outside but, as he opened the front door, the flames started coming back. He tossed it out onto the lawn, where it burnt a big chunk of grass.

I wish I had thought to keep the pictures; it had burnt his desk and destroyed his lawn. Apple legal went out and the guy later let me know via email that they had recompensed him for his desk, replaced the notebook, and paid to have his lawn re-turfed.

It wasn't funny at the time, but this video reminded me of it and now it is kind of hilarious. Still not as good as the kid who figured out how to game Apple's escalation system to get free stuff, but pretty damn funny.

Oh my...was that meant to be insulting...waste your consciousness elsewhere keyboard warrior.

What you think...is your problem. A mind can be a terrible, or banal thing.

It was an expression of the dislike or your insipid submission sufficient for me not to waste enough consciousness to finish watching it as is proper and mandatory for a downvoting which is what it deserved. I only gave it any attention as people that I like and respect gave you attention and thought to endeavor to give you a chance. No good deed goes....

You did provide the motivation to revisit the repulsive submission.

Your reactions, submission,...will not likely waste my consciousness again.

As to that individual being one sided in your view. You resemble your remark. He is intelligent, incisive, and predominately objective and even handed. You perception to the contrary is as telling as, well,...doll.

Apple is the Patriot

dannym3141 jokingly says...

Sure that's a great idea.

I tell you what, why i don't i become EVERYTHING and solve ALL of the world's problems at once? I can solve international tax law by becoming a politician, then i can solve world hunger by becoming head of monsanto, then i can cure cancer by becoming head of McMillan.

That's how problems are solved right? I mean, looking back through history some of our greatest achievements in quality of life were introduced just that same way right? RIGHT? Like when MLK became president to stop racism?

I guess when unions formed and brought about sick pay, working hours, holiday, contracts, safety at work, minimum wage and EVERYTHING else, it was really because one individual person became Prime Minister over here and changed it all. Nothing to do with people gathering together to make the change they want to see.

Oh wait, it turns out you're completely and totally wrong. That would probably be embarrassing for you if you had a shred of self awareness.

Perhaps you'd like to engage your brain before addressing the keyboard? You might also then realise that you have no idea how much i'll pay in tax in my lifetime, nor my contributions to society through other means that money can't buy.

But i tell you what, next time that person working at the supermarket mans the Samaritans hotline and talks someone down from suicide, or a junior doctor saves 3 lives, or a researcher investigates something that leads to a cancer cure, or a cop stops a tragedy...... or a school teacher stands up for a kid being abused at home, or inspires someone to become a doctor, or a local baker gives away food to homeless people every night........ you can go and tell them that they're losers and they will never contribute as much to society as a bunch of rich men who pay people to make phones for them and who pay less ACTUAL (not percentage) tax than many of their own working class employees.

I'll take the loser cheapshot in good faith, you were so off the mark with everything else in your comment that it's actually an endorsement coming from someone like you.

Trancecoach said:

Haha! First of all, they are tax avoiders, not tax dodgers. Secondly, if you don't like it, why don't you work your way up at Apple and change the company from the inside? Or become a legislator and change the law. See if you can get them to pay whatever version of "fair share" you think they "should." (We all know you won't because, if you did, you wouldn't be using a platform or a device created by companies that don't care about what you think their "fair share" of taxes should be.) But, hey, go ahead and "boycott" Apple and other companies to "protest" their failure to adopt your ideas and definitions of "fair shares." See how far that gets you. I'll continue to buy their products and support them.

And meanwhile, the vilified "millionaires and billionaires" will continue to pay far more in taxes than you ever will (currently 44% of federal taxes while the bottom 45% don't pay anything at all) -- just so we're clear on who contributes little to nothing at all and is merely a consumer/loser.

I have to say I lost patience with the video quickly. What is the point? Such careful production of a simple joke stretching it out to almost 9 minutes only to hear the one politician asked say "Thats the dumbest thing I've ever heard". And it was.

I find Bob (and indeed Trump) more entertaining and real.

Danny: Socialism is not a plan as such, rather an ideology. Originally it was an ideology that definitely wanted good things for most people. With all due respect I don't believe (see what I did there? basically I am admitting I haven't a clue) Bernie has a plan. I also dont believe he is a socialist. He has some good (partly socialist) ideas but would IMHO lack the mechanisms to put them in place. Much like Obama but more so.

If I were voting I would probably be tempted to throw in a protest vote for Bernie just to show all the others what I think. But Bernie will not get the nomination, would lose the election and would only make a small impact if somehow elected. I will eat my keyboard if he makes any real impact on big banks. But if he wants to try I would support him for want of a better option.

Trump fascist? Big business running government, nationalist, crackdown on minorities, violent supporters at rallies, apparent ultra-conservatism with dubious own morality, rich, stupid, arrogant. Check. Lacks balls though, so no.

Richard Muller: I Was wrong on Climate Change

Babymech says...

Man... I know this was just a slip of the keyboard, but I really think there should be anthropomorphic climate change. It would be like a little mascot made of smog and storms and rising temperature graphs and it'd race around the earth looking for adventure and GHG emissions!

...actually there probably was anthropomorphic climate change somewhere in the old Captain Planet cartoons.

newtboy said:

I wonder, what percentage of the "2%" of "scientists" that were not convinced of anthropomorphic climate change have also changed their positions?
