Kid Icarus was awesome! Nothing wrong with that ending, unless of course you compare it to today's 2½-hour-movie-endings. Actually, I preferred it when the games themselves were the fun part, and the endings were a good pat on the back, sort of a "good job" with a short but to-the-point conclusion.

Pit is just Kid Icarus' name.

Kid Icarus was a great game, but it used to annoy me that I couldn't get that far in the game. Games have gotten a lot easier since the early systems.
