As a biker, I've had people try and run me off the road for no reason at all. And by no reason, I mean me minding my own business while casually riding to work. At one point, I had a car full of thugs try to side swipe me because I gently honked my horn when they didn't leave from a green light after about 10 seconds. This same group of thugs followed me to the parking lot where I worked and 3 of them proceeded to get out of said care with what looked like tire irons and a baseball bat. If I hadn't been legally concealing a fire arm at the time things likely would not have ended well for me. As it was they decided it was a better idea to return to their car and drive away.

Things like this are why, even though I hate that I have to, I am always armed when riding in unfamiliar areas.

love how they "censor" that scene in glee, even though you can clearly tell what it is. I see that double standard a lot in censorship. They hide certain bits of it, but you see enough of it so instead of saying "whew glad I missed those parts" its "hrm...what was I missing out on? I wish to know more"

And that's where censoring fails. You give power to that which makes you uncomfortable. It's so bad...YOU MUST CENSOR IT!! Which just encourages people further to view the censorship. It has the opposite effect. Same goes for boycotting. If you boycott something, odds are you're just going to make it more popular as it's just free press.

Here's a pro tip:

1. You don't have a right to not be offended.

2. If something bothers you, don't give it power over you. Seeing these things that bother you does not validate or endorse them any way. Announcing that you're offended and that you MUST remove the offending bits just announces to the world what honks you off and gives people power over you as they now know how to manipulate you.

3. If you're teaching your kids, step up and do your fucking job as a parent and educate your kids instead of hiding it from them. If this "education" has any merits to it, it will stick on it's own.

The car in front is waiting for the spot that the car in back is pulling out of... The car in front (uncharacteristically) pulled in front of the car that's leaving (instead of behind it), probably so as not to back-up into oncoming traffic, but trying not to pull too far into the intersection or around the corner so as to lose the spot. To be sure, it's some shitty driving, all around (wimmen!), but I blame Giuliani, because, fuck that guy.

now that trailer has me at least a little bit excited for ME3

I gotta say it though, they really fucked up. ME1 was a hit, it was actually something unique. Then instead of improving on it, they turned ME2 into another chest-high cover shooter and instead of delving deeper into the Reaper Mythos, they distract us with the collectors which was a waste of time and now they're going to play catch up to finish the story

The Reapers are supposed to be this super hyper-advanced threat that has wiped out entire civilizations on multiple occasions, but simply because Shep gathers a big enough fleet that will magically take them down? Bull.

It's the same sad story I've heard countless times. They did it to the Borg. They created this insanely powerful enemy, but then realized, oops, we can't make them too powerful because then how will the good guys win? So then they proceed to dumb em down. They didn't learn their lesson and did the same thing with the Dominion, but that time they literally did do a Deus Ex Machina and had the prophets intervene to knock the Dominion down to a more manageable size. The Clans from Battletech was the same thing. They create a force with unbalanced technology so they have to dumb them down and make them act like idiots to balance it out.

I'm going to play this game and I'm sure im going to enjoy it, but still...it just really honks me off that they dumbed the game and the enemy down and meddled with something that was a hit

What I really wanted was a game similar to the whole Pool of Radiance trilogy back in the day where your characters really did truly continue from game to game and not start over like they do in ME.

I kinda like how it turns into a dubstep riff in the Battleship trailer. Funny how "the honk" and "dubstep", things I normally hate in movie trailers, combine make something I actually like. Not that I'm actually going to see that terrible looking movie.
