McCain Backer Hagee Said Hitler Was Fulfilling God's Will
dupe. i posted this a few days ago here: http://www.videosift.com/video/McCains-Hagee-on-the-Jews
Reverend Wright Probably Shouldn't Be On TV
He seems far more reasonable than Hagee.
Rolling Stone Inserted Undercover Into Reverend Hagee Church
Choggie thinks a guy who spent 5 months undercover in Hagee's church, then two months with US Forces in Baghdad, is a "shit" journalist?
I forgot that in Choggie's world, *real* journalist are merely stenographers for the WH and the Pentagon, cheerleading every immoral plan hacked by the biggest thieves in US political history.
Choggie loves him some Jonah Goldberg, Michelle Malkin, O'Reilly, Althouse, and all the rest of the war-mongers who suck the bloody teet of imperialism, lapping up dead Iraqi children's marrow like kittens to their mother.

The Great Derangement by Matt Taibbi
^ A Vast Left Wing Liberal Conspiracy (VLWLC) would have all news outlets talking about the possibility that John McCain was brainwashed while he was a P.O.W. in Vietnam, which originated from anonymous spam e-mail.
Clips of John Hagee calling Catholicism "the Great Whore", along with Rod Parsley would dominate the news cycle for at least a month, solid. Whenever McCain's numbers rise, the media dutifully brings the topic back up again, ad nauseum.
Rachel Maddow would be the most famous Talk Radio personality (aside from Howard Stern, who would still broadcast on terrestrial radio), and would constantly complain of a right-wing bias in all news outlets. She'd have had a successful smear campaign; most conservatives would be reluctant to use that term, it now has such a negative connotation in common discourse.
President Gore, would of course, time his policy to aid Obama as well, rolling out a report in October on how carbon emissions are now in decline, globally, for the first time since they've been keeping records.
Too bad there ain't no Vast Left Wing Conspiracy, just the right wing kind.
However, as Colbert points out, reality has a well-known liberal bias.

Is Hagee McCain's personal Reverend?
Is McCain a member of Hagee's "church"?
Either way, Hagee ain't Wright.
Crazy Preacher - John Hagee
Is this a dupe?

Father Pfleger sets FAUX straight on Jeremiah Wright.
Well THAT reporter had his ass handed to him, didn't he?
Personally I still have problem with a couple of things Rev. Wright said, but only because I'm an atheist. If there is a God I don't think he should be damning ANY nation. And I'm sure Rev. Wright meant something like God damning the immoral actions of the US government and not all its people, but saying things like that are still inflammatory to me. Maybe that's just one more reason why I have a problem with religion, because people are always asking God to damn someone.
HOWEVER, I agree with most of the things he says when he talks about injustices, especially those visited upon minorities in this country and around the world. I think Rev. Wright is a fundamentally decent and loving man that's become the whipping boy for all the closeted and uncloseted racists who are simply dying to find a reason to condemn a black man, and by extension a black candidate. This whole controversy in itself shows how much racism there is to this day in our country. Rev. Hagee has said inflammatory things too, but I haven't heard a peep about him ever since the Rev. Wright story broke. Double-standard, most assuredly.
Father Pfleger is right when he says that if you judge a person just by sound bites then ANYONE can sound bad. Like he also said, I'd hate for someone to judge me if they walked by my house and heard me raising my voice to my son. I'm sure FAUX News would also vilify Christ if they were around in his day. They would rejoice at his crucifixion. I can see the crawl at the bottom of the FOX News screen reading:
HERETIC AND TRAITOR DEAD, CHRISTIANITY IN LAST THROES
They will ALWAYS be wrong about the person, the story, the issue, and the big picture. Therefore they will always be on the wrong side of history. God damn them.

I'll still give it an upvote because of my interest in fair play, despite your coded racist description.
I appreciate your comments.
I see no "racism" in presenting Obama's legal name. I further address this at that sift.

You know, I'm all for letting the truth hang out. Really, I am. And when I found out about Obama's pastor's remarks through this video I was going to upvote it because the truth should be known, and then the voters can decide for themselves whether it's relevant or not. Hell, if Hagee's remarks should be put under the microscope then so should this guy's.
But then you put "B. Hussein Obama" in your comments and tags, thus putting yourself on the same playing field with this pastor, if not worse. Can you not see the irony and hypocrisy in that? Fucking A, dude.

I watch Hagee in the mornings sometimes because he's so insane. He scares me. He'll talk about how great Israel is, and say things like "The bible is very clear, that Russian is going to supply nuclear weapons to Iran and they will detonate a nuclear bomb on Israel. The Bible is very clear about that".

It is a big deal because only a few years ago McCain was the one who lectured us all about the evils of the "agents of intolerance". Now he is embracing them.
And if it were no big deal, why would McCain suddenly repudiate Hagee's remarks today? If it were any other candidate they'd be under the same pressure to disavow this hatemonger.

I never agree with BillOreilly but he's right. It's politics-as-usual. Ron Paul caught some flak a while ago about accepting donations from aryans or some such.
We can talk about the goofy beliefs of Hagee as well as the aryans but they have a right to endorse whomever they wish. It doesn't necessarily mean the candidate shares the beliefs of those who donate to them.
