I have a lot of new music to get, to check out all these riffs. Someone mentioned "Oh well" by Fleetwood Mac. That's a great one. If you want to hear an unusual riff, go way back to King Crimson (1970's Wake of Poseidon), and the riff in "Pictures of a City." That's a really unique one.

Very few of this are riffs and most of them certainly ain't cool.
So here's my list of the coolest guitar riffs.

16. Radiohead - Paranoid Android (The best piece of music Radiohead ever made)

There have been more line-ups of Fleetwood Mac than I've had hot dinners! Great post!

Peter Green was at the heart of the British Blues movement in the 60's. He's a god yes, but his career was cut short due to the same problems that haunted Sid Barret of the Pink Floyd.

And no, this was before Lindsey Buckingham came into the group. Lindsey joined the group along with his then girl-friend Stevie Nicks. They had their own album out before joining Fleetwood Mac called simply "Buckingham Nicks".

Wiki: Fisherman's Friend are strong menthol lozenges produced in Fleetwood, Lancashire, England.

They are the kind of things that if you eat one, then drink soda, it feels like you mouth is bubbling over. They are also particularly bad tasting with orange juice. I dont know any common-in-US equivalent, but is like a mint, with strong lacrol taste.
