What music would sound good with this one? Maybe we could email our suggestion to the fellows at the University of East London and I could swap out the newly edited version, if they take our suggestion on board.

Two quick points:

(1) In the time of Muhammad women and men had complete equality of access to mosques and prayed side by side in the same space. Unfortunately the teachings of Islam have been corrupted and in many modern Islamic states women either have their access to mosques restricted or completely denied.

(2) Unfortunately, this is the case in many Western states as well. For example, the East London mosque has 1000 places available for women - compared to 5000 for men! Thankfully things are slowly changing, but there is still much to be done.

I've seen some of his stuff up for auction at charity dinners at the East London mosque. His pieces went for thousands of pounds, and all the money went to help people in Darfur, Sudan.
