Ha. Once you're out of 2nd grade you'll realize that knives can be thrown much farther than 2 steps.

And once you actually try and THROW A KNIFE you'll realize how difficult is it to actually get it to stick to anything at all. Also IT'S A PEN! Cops must be the most blind people on the planet.

I've seen a lot of knives thrown well.
Cops are never going to risk their safety needlessly just so the public can insist on having single-digit IQs.

No offense dude but cops know what they're getting into when they choose the profession. As sad as it is, a real bad guy killing a cop who is using caution is preferable to a cop who is not using caution killing someone who in reality poses little threat.

A belligerent wielding a knife can cause serious injury, even if he doesn't have legs. (Stop discriminating against the disabled.)
Cops value their health more than we value their lives (approximately zero), so they're obligated to treat "appears to be a knife" as "a knife."
Try not to threaten cops with knife-like objects and you'll save yourself a lot of trouble.

How could someone who can't move down stairs be a threat with a knife you idiot. Take two steps back and you're in no danger.

Deus Ex: The Eyeborg Documentary

Trancecoach says...

Surprised that this guy wasn't featured in the piece!

The "medical ethics" they refer to at the end of the piece is not that much different than cosmetic surgery (which might even include limb lengthening).

Also wondering why there was no mention of this documentary which came out a few years ago and is all about transhumanism.

Darkhand, I was being sarcastic. The "is this wealth" comment was in relation to another conversation going on over in Sift Talk.

It was something of a zen koan, because wealth is seen only as capital by the majority of dimwits who run this country.

Is the woman wealthier for having the mermaid outfit? Is the company of artists and professionals who made it for her richer for the experience?

Roughy, Westeners sometimes do incredible things just for the fun and challenge of it.

As opposed to easterners, or southerners, or northerners?

You have a dangerously shallow mind.

Is that wealth?

I'm not sure what you're asking but I'm going to assume you are saying "Didn't she pay for this?".

I'm going to answer no because as indicated in the video the company does this in their "spare time". If someone was paying you for something you'd treat it just like any other job.

The company also said "we won't make another of these" if people wanted to buy the product they would sell it no?

Lastly the gentleman representing the company says "we learned a lot from this project" which is him justifying doing it for free as a one time thing.

Possibly... or possibly it knows that when you drive to the mall you park across two handicapped spaces!

But srsly, I have no idea. Something that's US-blocked? Maybe -- what a refreshing change

Still dead to me. Tried in multiple browsers with same results. Possibly blocked to US viewers?

In reply to this comment by calvados:
Mmmmm no it's not. Maybe you had it open in a window for a long time before trying to play it? YT does that.
