Logan Lucky - Trailer

Epic Rap Battles of History: James Bond vs Austin Powers

eric3579 says...

Roger Moore will always be the real James Bond to me.
First Bond film i watched at a theater was Live and Let Die(blew my mind as a child).
Last one was Moonraker.
I think i've seen a few bond films made after those, and a few of Connery's also
Daniel Craig is hardly charming or smooth enough to be a bond imo.

Honest Trailers - Skyfall

vaire2ube says...

Skyfall made no sense.... the super villain has the power to complete his task, but his task is totally inconsequential to everything ... who cares if M dies she's retiring... Bond can't shoot anymore ... it would have been loads better if Bond DIED with the villain and got to go back to being dead. He has no need for the agency anymore, they cannot protect anyone let alone their own agents.

So much money wasted for effects that made no sense even MORE than the usual nonsense... the villain wasnt even a villain he was totally rational... I just wanted to see him and daniel craig make out already

Adele - "SKYFALL" theme song

radx says...

It sounds very much like a Bond theme from the Connery era. Which is not bad, quite the contrary. But it's not the kind of Bond Daniel Craig portrays, is it?

This is the soundtrack for an intelligence officer, not an assassin.

Sam Harris on Going to Heaven/Hell

hpqp says...

oops, freudian slip! I guess Daniel is the only Craig my mind deems worth remembering
>> ^Kofi:

I think it's William Lane Craig rather than Daniel Craig. That said, I would love to see Sam debate James Bond.

Daniel Craig in drag for International Women's Day

>> ^probie:
The second the majority of women can read the instructions and put together their own furniture, then we'll be equals. Until then, no dice.

Real men don't read instructions. We don't ask for directions either.

I can kinda see where Westy comes from.
It seems to suggest that men believe that men and should be equal and are equals. However, I think that most intelligent men know that when it comes down to raw stats, yes the odds are stacked against women in many areas.
However, if a women came up to me and asked, "are we equals?" The question posed is a trap, if I say no, it appears that I believe that men are inherently better than women, and deserve a place as second class citizens, so this answer is clearly undesirable, but if I say yes, I'm more than well aware that for every dollar and man earns, a women earns 79 cents. There is dissonance between what I believe should be and what the current situation is.
So my response would hardly be concise to a question which implies a one word answer.

Then use two words. "Not yet"

Daniel Craig in drag for International Women's Day

RedSky says...

I think you're narrowing it down too far. The DRC is far from being an Islamic country (90% Christian of some denomination, 5% Muslim), and yet it is not only oppressive but down-right brutal against its women, by my accounts the worst in the world. Rape is a routine instrument of war by government and militia forces alike, while the vast majority of work is done by them.

Whether you look at Christianity or Islam, both have clearly misogynistic and oppressive elements which are simply ignored in modern societies. I think violence/oppression of women is much better explained by a lack of individual rights and a consistent rule of law and civil society to enforce it.>> ^Deano:

Let's drill down a bit further - many of these women are oppressed in Islamic societies. I'd suggest bringing that up as something to tackle given that about one-fifth of the world's population follow Islam. Mind you I can't see them having the balls to make him walk out in a burka.
BTW Daniel Craig is worryingly scary dressed as a woman.

>> ^chipunderwood:

"Worryingly scary?" Deano, he's a striking man dressed as a woman and that scares you? Check that pistol at the door Marge, someone's got wood!

There's a guy in my local area who's a transvestite and he gets it all wrong. He dresses in these skimpy outfits and he's over six feet tall and utterly mannish. There's no way he's getting away with it. And he really does look like some scary freak. That is what Craig looks like and that's what I meant.

Certainly I say all power to you if this is what you like to do but for chrissakes show some taste
