Rape and Retards: Doug Stanhope talks Daniel Tosh
This. Frankly the most offensive part of the story was that someone actually paid to see Daniel Tosh.
But also
* Dane Cook was mentioned without anyone calling for him to be beheaded publicly.
* No-one mentioned Reginald D Hunters hilarious routine on the subject.

I think the problem was that his joke was shit. It wasn't clever, thought-provoking, intellectually challenging. It was boring and lazy and unimaginative
Daniel Tosh's Bullying Video
Sometimes he's quite funny. I never got the peoples utter hatred of Dane Cook, I watched his special and I laughed. It's just when I watch Louis CK he makes me laugh harder and makes me think. That doesn't make me HATE Dane Cook and wish him death, it just makes me get more excited about Louis CK.
Putting people in boxes is wrong, and can hurt. And then lead them to make stupid videos with words on postcards.
Senator Rand Paul makes a Gay Joke! He's so FUNNNEEEE.
Dane Cook isn't funny either, but technically, he's still comedy.>> ^bareboards2:
Not sure if I agree with your assessment. Is there a comedy fail channel?

Louis C.K. Interview on "Nightline" 12-12-11
There's a great CK interview that he just did on NPR's Fresh Air. He talks about the show (he's already made his money back and then some) and Dane Cook.
I immediately bought it, honestly not expecting to laugh as much as I did. I'm talking deep, cathartic laughter. He's great.

I think Louis CK is a great guy and very likeable. And I've always enjoyed the clips of him here. But when I see him in an extended set, like the Beacon one (which I bought), I'm not as impressed. At times he was utterly killing, then the energy levels just went and the material seemed to weaken. Overall he doesn't quite do it as a top tier comic for me.
However I'm going to watch the live Beacon show again and see if it changes my mind. Certainly damn good value for $5 and I hope it's a huge success.
for me, if louis CK isn't a top tier comic, i dont know what is
I hear that Dane Cook is a funny guy.

Dane Cook confronts Louis C.K. about joke stealing
>> ^Aniatario:
I remember listening to Dane Cook a lot coming out of Highschool, me and my buddies listened to his albums and laughed our asses off. Sure the jokes weren't particularly clever, I always found his energy much more funny than his material.
Good voices, strong gestures and a half decent narrative. He knew how to tell a good story.
I found him less and less funny as I got older but all of a sudden it just became "cool" to hate Dane Cook and a lot of my friends (including myself) jumped on the band wagon.
There are a lot of people that discount the energy of a joke because they can't quantify it in their little world of OCD intellectualism.

Uh....I'm confused. I thought this was scripted? Yet there are several commenters acting as if it isn't.
You're right. Those commenters are likely confused too.
Dane Cook confronts Louis C.K. about joke stealing
Dane Cook did not succeed easily. He made his own CDs, DVDs, website, etc. he worked hard to promote himself and it worked. Not the funniest guy in the world but I really don't understand the hate.

this is similar to carlos mencia vs joe rogan feud.
Except that Louis CK is actually talented.
Dane Cook confronts Louis C.K. about joke stealing
Dane's only crime was making it big and doing it with ease. Not saying he didn't work hard. He was one of the first entertainers to embrace connecting with fans through the social media landscape. He just appealed to a broader audience of fans than normal comedians and that bugs people. Generally, connoisseurs of comedy are bitter angry people that hate their lives and they don't want to share the only thing that makes them happy with some snot nosed twilight fans.
That's the real reason why. As a "connoisseur of comedy" I welcome Dane Cook and think he's doing fine.
