Capoeira: A day at the beach
Is there some kind of requirement in capoeira that there must be a minimum of one dude with dreads? I don't think I've ever seen it without one
Awesome body control.
Ninja Woman
Whats your opinion on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capoeira ?
Impressive athletic ability there. She's agile, co-ordinated and flexible. Clearly had a dance background.
I think it's a stretch to call it martial arts though.
I don't do Ka-ratey, I do Ka-razy

Wushu Speed Training
I'm not sure where this stigma on martial arts comes from. It's called an art for a reason, its as much a form of expression as any other art, especially when you look at styles like capoeira and wushu.
Very pretty flourishes. Not so useful for real world fighting.
Insane Dodge Ball Kill!
looks like somebody's been practicing capoeira.
Dealing with street dancers - Part 2 (Capoeira)
Capoeira's a lot of fun. I wouldn't take it to a street fight, but why are you out getting in fights anyway?
Dealing with street dancers - Part 2 (Capoeira)
Capoeira sucks. A "fight" technique, created by slaves to defend themselves (and honestly.. how many times could capoeira actually be used? If a slave assaulted one of his "owners" I'm pretty sure he would be in seriously deep shit. Deeper than being a slave already), and disguised as a dance routine, so they could train it without causing suspicion.
If you're developing a fight technique, and the main concern is make it look like it's not a fight technique.... then it's not going to be a good fight technique, period. Not to mention it's an amazing waste of energy with all that twirling and jumping. Good workout. Terrible technique.
Super Street Fighter IV Zero Damage
it's like capoeira
All the very best fails of 2009!
And pretty damn fake.

That Capoeira cat kick was actually pretty damn successful.

MMA vs Capoeira
Eddie is way weaker in real life.
Here's another side http://www.videosift.com/video/Insane-Capoeira-Knockout
MMA vs Capoeira
This is fake. Someone shot this from the backstage of a movie. I can't remember the title.
However... yes, Capoeira although cool to look at, it's not a very efficient fight technique.
Rio de Janeiro ~ Marvelous City ~ 2016 Olympic Bid Video
All I know is that I'd much rather see capoeira as an exhibition sport than competitive sausage eating.
Insane Capoeira Knockout
As interesting as it is to see a capoeira practitioner actually win an MMA fight using essentially ONLY Capoeira techniques, I can't help but think how irresponsible this set-up is. Those spinning heel kicks (use whatever terminology you want) can easily kill a person.
That sound you hear is probably his cheek or ocular bones shattering. And that's if he's lucky.
This is why i think it's funny that people get so carried away with the "realism" of MMA competitions. Something like this just goes to show that those competitions have rules for a reason and that you never know what's going to happen in the ring or in life.
This is one of the reasons that I would never join one of these competitions. Because NOTHING is like a real fight. (the other reason being that I would have my ass handed to me)
Oh and before anyone else can say it: "That wouldn't work in a REAL street fight11!!!1!!"
