Irish is not British.
In reply to this comment by dystopianfuturetoday:
moodonia and I are having an argument on what it means to be British. He doesn't think my (Irish) Thrills video belongs on the British channel. Is being British limited to the UK, or does it include all of the British Isles?

from your link DFT: Also note that there is controvery over its use on wikipedia as well as more generally.
But more to the point, according to the British channel description (not to mention the Union Jack), the channel is for all things British (a cultural term), not all things from the British Isles (a geographic term).

The Thrills - Not For All The Love In The World
Even though Ireland is part of the British Isles I don't think it should be part of the British channel. The channel is for things relating to the United Kingdom and since Ireland isn't a part of the UK I'll have to remove it. Great song though

Who considers it part of the british isles anyway? Not the British government, Irish government, Folens, National geographic... The term has no official status at all. The British government uses the term "British-Irish Isles".

Sharia fiasco
I welcome criticism of Islamic Sharia law and other issues but definitely not from Pat Condell who doesn't know the first thing about the Islamic faith, half of his stuff sounds like racist rant against different people invading the British Isles.
Beloved Cunt - Curb Your Enthusiasm
If nothing else, I admire your bravery in posting the dreaded C word in the video title. Let me tell you, my mom is one of the most fouled-mouth women in the world. Period. End of story. Yet even she is reluctant to drop the C-bomb unless she REALLY hates a bitch. But I live in the U.S. I know in the British Isles the word "cunt" isn't quite as verboten as it is here stateside.
I salute your brave endeavor to destigmatize the C-word, mainly because it's just a word, people! I'm assuming that this WAS your endeavor, right? If it ain't, then fuck you, cunt.
Bill Bryson, from "Notes From a Small Island"
yea as an englishman in New York and San Diego I always felt supremely uncomfortable with the feeling of dread (ie being shot) that I felt while in the states. It just doesn't have the same comfortable cozyness that the British Isles have.
