Yeah, it doesn't look like they're trying to cut flesh, they're just hitting each others' saber blades. It looks nice for video, tho.
And I like Darth Pillowbiter's magenta light saber. It looks fabulous!
Now, now, don't be a Vader-hater. This is definitely above average work as far as fan-made saber duels go and I like how they tried to hint at a story in the opening monologue. However, I think we all know that the best home-made lightsaber duels belong to Ryan and Dorkman:
