I seem to remember that was one of the very few times were Adam was shown being very pissed off. I think there is video somewhere of him in a Q and A were he mentions the producer that had put them up to that prank had been fired.


I actually remember the episode well, All of the build team actually tried it out hooked up to the car battery and each basically said "That's WAY too dangerous" and agreed not to use it on Adam.. however, for some reason, they decided last minute to use the battery, and Adam even said "You didn't hook this up to a car battery, did you?", to which they all reply "Oh..no.. I wish we had thought of that".

So he touched it, got zapped hard, and he did get REALLY pissed off. It's just that he swears, backs away, glares at them all, and Kari just smiles and says "Do you feel god?"

He then reemed them all the hell out, but for that brief moment it was hilarious.

Here you go. That's the problem. A copy of his birth certificate has been issued and displayed multiple times. The Hawaii director of the State department of health has stated that it's authentic - and yet, it's still not enough. That's where the irationality comes in.

Rebeka black is not deserving of success she is simply a tool of sum-one else I don't know why people Evan engage with her at all when she herself has pretty much nothing to do with the popularity of the video on all levels. (production not her , Viral spred not her , Creation of memes surrounding it not her, Additional promotion and spoof vids with Rebbecca in them , not her )

At least people like Tay zonday or however u write his name came up with the song and sang it themselves put vid out them-selfs.

I don't think anyone is really angry at Rebeka Black they just hate what is another product of a sole less system and they are not sure how to communicate that. Rebeka blacks situation is pretty much the same as some kids parents blowing 10k on lottery tickets and they happen to win the jackpot.

In reality all the congratulations should go to ark media who have managed to convince upper middle class families to give them money giving them an opertunity to game the system and profit from it at no risk to them selfs.

So this comedian is a bit stupid attributing annything to Rebeka black evan if his core message is sound IE "Ignore trolls and just produce your own stuff and enjoy things".

Yes in some ways she has coped reasonably well with the fame an she has also given money to charity which is fantastic but i think Most normal people would have done the same and its not like that suddenly rectifies the fact that capitalism is totally messed up.

Thats another thing Why does it take this guy ages of blabbing on to just say "Ignore Trolls" also he kind of makes an argument about peoples comments not been valid and that they should make videos which is fine but comments are just another form of communication as much as a video.

And finaly to finish off all my shit spewing . I don't understand why when a song video becomes a viral hit people attribute skill to it and it has run on success but when it comes to other vidios that are basically the same but not a song just something that is amusing and catches on people see it for what it is a "just a random viral video" Like That random horse sex video with 10 million views , or dramatic chipmunk .

Gotta admit, I feel bad for mocking her nasally voice now. Because she's going to make a full album. She'll get over her tears because this could, maybe, jumpstart a career. Because of all the people who mock her. Think about that.


BTW, that $2000 figure was just what her family contributed to the production costs in order to keep the rights to the song (source). Smart move, since the song is selling on iTunes now. They could have paid nothing and let Ark keep the rights to everything. The video cost way more than that to make. Some producer somewhere thinks the dead-pan nasal-voice thing is going to be big. And god help us, he could be right.

Music can be both product and art. Even the most celebrated bands have been commercially aware. I've no doubt that Rebecca Black is herself keenly aware of the impact of her public persona. Even a 13 year-old can have business savvy.
As to whether something is good or not I can only think how many shite records I've bought in my time and how only now I'm beginning to filter out the crap. I'm sure she and her friends feel the record is great and fun. Which is just fine.

It is a desperately dark world we live in when thousands of people seek to intimidate and harrass a young girl. Be they producers of vapid pop with exploitative recording agreements I still feel she's got value for money out of this (2k for that music video alone, I do believe that is value for money).

I say leave Black alone and leave Ark Music alone. It will all blend into the background eventually but music won't be the worse for having it happen.

The trolls and sociopaths however, deserve everything that might possibly come to them.
