How about a round of applause for Koz just because!
The Best of Star Wars on The Tonight Show
"The Tonight Show never has used a laugh track, and still does not. What is different from the past is applause cues. The audience is told when to applause, and they even hire professionals to sit in the front row."
"Letterman was in fact the first one to adopt applause cues when he moved to CBS. Basically a sign placed above the audience that tells them when to cheer or make noise. The idea is that it keeps the show moving with no dead air."
Can't stand Fallon with his own laugh tracks
Valedictorian Gives Unapproved Speech on Abortion Rights
addressing the 🦜 🦜 comments;
how does a 'drug slogan' or being 'unthankfully deaf' solve anything? sanctimonious slobber.
-do they believe the GOP really gives a squirt? it's been long known, admitted, and used to get the base riled.
-did the orange menace use a condom when he was raw dogging a porn star?
-did gaetz when he ganged a 17 y.o.?
they have to know the answer. 💯 but will even admit to 51%?
it's like the joke of 'um' gow' wah'. Republican senator visits a foreign land. he gives a stirring speech and it's interpreted for the non-English speaking crowd. as he thunders his speech, rife w/conservative 'ideals', he stops at every 'pause for applause' section, in turn, the crowd erupts with "UM-GOW-WAH!" the senator leaves the stage, pleased that even the rabble of third-world-ers can appreciate the values of conservatism.
as he crosses to depart on a waiting helicopter, he has to walk through the natives' pastureland (the only space larger enough for the aircraft) the local ambassadors urge him to "be careful! don't step in the um' cow' wah'!
'live w/your decision' and 'advocating for murder'?
UM-GOW-WAH!
honestly. with big daddy and father allears, what's the point? gomers on a high horse, but they're riding it backward. both blind to what they are leaving on the trail.

Working from Home | Real Time with Bill Maher
It's really interesting to see comedians do these performances without an audience. John Oliver and Steven Colbert's first attempts at this from home were a little cringy because they were still pausing for applause. Bill probably watched his and decided he needed to add in the audience afterward because without it, the practiced pauses from comedians are hard to watch. John and Steven stopped the pauses after a little practice.
I also noticed Bill looking around while talking. During a real performance you expect they are reading the faces of their audience, but in this case he was just looking at the back of his house. It shows you how much of this type of performance is automatic for these guys.
BAY4406 Flight Crash Landing
Although I'm against the stupid applause for every event in life, once you've touched down the chance of anything catastrophic happening is near zero.
That's what you get for clapping before the plane has come to a halt. Actually no - that's what you get for clapping in general.
Ben Folds Composes a Song LIVE for Orchestra In Only 10 Mins
Because once he had finished composing it, in under 10 minutes, the actual performance took 2m30 minutes, then there was some applause and wrapping up.
why is this video 13 minutes+, this confuses me profoundly

"Well? Where's my applause?"
Drawing one million dots over 90 hours in 3 minutes
People break out in applause, while a group of dot matrix printers manage to produce a sound that bears a disturbing resemblance to a golf clap.
It's sad this is so awesome for a human, and utterly banal for a machine.
Bill Maher: New Rule – Don't Romanticize Socialism
Maher can be funny now and then but it's hard to watch these clips where you have to sit through the audience reaction, like he's announcing the honor roll and there's a round of applause after every name.
Re: GoFleeceMe. There's some guy in the next county who sells pizza out of a revamped school bus. He's having engine trouble and set up a GoFundMe page to ask for help with the engine repair costs because he supposedly gives pizza away to people that can't afford it, or "feeds the hungry". So the donors feel like they are supporting a good cause and to some he's probably viewed as some modern day folk hero.
But to me there's just something off about that whole thing. It would be naive to take it just on his word that he routinely gives away pizzas to those that drive up and can't pay. Be a real local hero and start a food bank drive, where everything can be tracked. And pay your own business expenses like grandpa used to do.

A person of their word!
I miss him so much. Fallon has fun games. Corden has great viral videos. Colbert still does the political stuff.
But I'll still take Craigy Ferg any day. He wasn't perfect (like Colbert, he would interrupt too much in order to be funny). But just his cold opens without the forced applause.... a balm on my soul.
Thanks.
