Now.. as for getting a PC, there's a lot less for a kid his age to do on a PC really. There's games for like 3-10 year olds, and then games for 16+ year olds, but not a lot in between. A console is a great starter platform for any gamer of any age. Complete content control by the parents, it's got a built in feature that you can set to only allow your kids to play X-amount of time a day, and, for the most part, they've got a lot more kid friendly games (Viva pinata, Marvel games, all the lego games etc.)

This kid.. Seeing him warms my heart. That's one appreciative little guy. and from the sounds of it, he's earned it. Sounds like he's had some hospital trouble in the past, and who knows, maybe that's why he's so concerned they bought it, because they probably had to pay medical expenses in the past and he'd know how much it would cost. Though, I think your percentages are low for a fair and even distribution. Once you've made it past 100 stars, for instance, I think you should be put in a higher star bracket with no cap. And a measly 35% for 500+? That's hardly fair to those without. We should adopt a strict European model where we extract close to 70% of their star earnings.

Those who earn less than 15 stars, however, shouldn't have to share. Haven't they been through enough just by existing on this site without contributing? Surely there's some sort of conspiratorial bias that helps those who are wealthy with many stars to earn even more while those without cannot get the fair break - these underprivileged Sifters are struggling to find and sift enough videos worthy of an upvote to earn a decent star ranking.

Ugh.. This reminds me of summer school in grade 9.

I had to take science, and the grade 9 curriculum has biology in it, including reproduction.

We had one girl absolutely, positively, 100% convinced that if you have sex, that you will get pregnant 100% of the time. It's a little blurry so I don't remember if she said if condoms worked or not, but i'm leaning towards not.

Since it was summer school, we - unfortunately - only had two days to try and prove otherwise.. It became almost an obsession for the teacher and a few of the students (Myself being included, I actually did quite well at science.. I just didn't show up enough).

And honest to god, I will never forget her saying "My parents and father (Church) told me that sperm will stay alive until you get your period, and then they'll start making a baby, so you'll have a baby no matter what if you have sex, and they wouldn't lie to me."

It's actually from that point on that I started to doubt the church. I'd never been religious, but I learned to question why someone who preaches about morals would blatantly lie.

Then I realized it's because the church is generally run by a bunch of bigots refusing to accept scientific fact into their lives.
