Ukraine winning this year's Eurovision is a foregone conclusion even BEFORE the show start though. How can it not be. And with Turin stopping a few voting anormally/rigging (Estonia, Georgia, and some other countries iirc) by Russian hacking group only ensured a Ukraine win.

With that, Norway and a few entries might've though "F*ck that, let's have some FUN! If we can't win ESC this year, we might go for the win on the viral/meme award instead."

No doubt the votes are made politically (I mean, how can it not be? Albeit well deserved.) in support of Ukraine, regardless of the performance's own merit. However, Stefania is a great selection for the country. It's relatable on a human level as well as timely amid of the invasion. I hope Kalush Orchestra won't self-doubt the win as a sympathy vote.

I'm more concern about the outcome's consequence though... so EuroVision will held in Ukraine next year. And Zelensky mentioned that he hope it can be held in Mariupol? The logistic & security must be a major headache if the war drags on. Something need to "happen" to Putin pronto.

With the attacks on civilians, multiple war crimes, kidnapping of tens-hundreds of thousands of children, and a blatant attempt at genocide, Israel has decided to side with Russia and not condemn them, not join sanctions, not stop or slow their purchase of Russian goods, not anger Russia at all.

A bit odd seeing as we still send them billions in aid, and have repeatedly saved them from destruction from their neighbors aggression…odd also that they would ignore another genocide for minor political connivence. I hope the west feels the same the next time their neighbors attack…meaning that if helping them causes even our minor inconvenience that means we won’t act to save them from eradication. We should absolutely stop all aid to countries that stand with Russia, our tax dollars go to Israel, pay for their purchases from Russia, then pay for Russia’s genocidal war on Ukraine. That’s insanity.

I fully support expanding Ukraine’s border 100 miles into Russia to create the kind of “buffer zone” Russia tried to turn Ukraine into. 100 miles of no man’s land, all Russians must move. Ukrainians may settle there. Turnabout is fair play, and they deserve every inch of lost territory.
