Brigitte Bardot 1967 Harley Commercial-Beautiful, can't sing
beautiful and racist.
this is a serge gainsbourg song I think. And one of those songs where "good singing" isn't needed.
Humorous Hyundai commercial from France
Probably not a French advert, definitely not the version shown in France, the lyrics are technically French but don't make any sense. The music sounds like "L'anamour" by Serge Gainsbourg.

Who's Yehoodi?
Hah! Cab Calloway wrote this tune....My Fav is, and I can't find it on vidddy-'A Blue Serge Suit With A Belt In The Back-
.
He isn't hep to jive, he's only half alive, hep-cats call him square;
You won't believe this Jack but all his clothes date back to 29' I swear!
He wears a Blue Serge suit with a belt in the back, no drake, no shake, just a belt in the back;
He's strictly corn, man, and he's off the cob, wears a pocket watch with a pearly fob;
He'd look just as sharp in a sack, than in that blue serge suit with a belt in the back!
He isn't old or grey, yet he's so passe, swing bands make him frown; he doesn't get his kicks, from boogie-woogie licks, he's dead but he won't lay down-chorus
no-flair no where, just a belt in the back;
He thinks a cat is a household pet, and his favorite dance is the minuet;
Must've come from some curio rack, and bought a Blue Serge suit, with a belt in the baaaaaaak!
Charlotte Gainsbourg - Songs That We Sing
too bad . . .serge is definitely an acquired taste, but this was comforting.
I think she was in a version of jane eyre. I never made the father-daughter connection until now.

French New Wave music set to French footage
Reminds me of Serge Gainsbourg,stylistically speakin-Lounge is way cooler than rap.
France Gall - Laisse Tomber Les Filles
If Serge Gainsbourg "was famous back in the day for making a ton of good music," then why did he subject us to THIS? This must not have been on the scale when you weighed all that other music and found it over 2000 lbs.
France Gall - Laisse Tomber Les Filles
It is a music video by France Gall, she is a French artist from the 60's the lyrics and music were composed by Serge Gainsbourg, who was famous back in the day for making a ton of good music, and boning lots of hot French pop stars.
You can see a video of him propositioning Whitney Houston (pre crack) here: http://www.videosift.com/story.php?id=2125
Serge Gainsbourg Makes an Unfortunate Pass at Whitney Houston (Language NSFW)
I visited Gainsbourg's grave in Paris a few years back. It had all the markings of a little shrine: someone had left some neat little snapshots among the candles. Someone else had left a cabbage with hiragana on it. Why knows why? There was a half-smoked cigarette lying as though left for Gainsbourg to finish. Amazing place. Watching this clip, made me wonder if the days of men like Serge Gainsbourg, Irving Layton, and Charles Bukowski will ever roll around again. :-)
