^ Adilson Kindleman was in a similar situation, but with more height to maneuver with (as far as i can tell). he ended up in the drink so i don't think it's anywhere near as routine as you're making out.

as you say he was in a different siltation and having more hight might bet a negligible advantage.
the fact is in both situations the only thing they can do is level out and pull up as much as possible before pulling up would contribute to the stall.
its not a situation that requires a huge degree of skill you will allso probably find that the reaction times of all these piolots is going to be incredably close and thats realy what this sort of situatoin comes down to .
the thing with flying is the skill is largely based on practise and remaing calm (as aposed to reacting to a highly verable situation) and with all these pilots been veteran formation/military pilots its something all of them will have in abundance.
Its like how everyone makes out that that hudon poloit was some sort of genouse pro skill flyer , when in actual fact he was probably no more or less skilled than you avrage exsperanced pilot , and most pilots could have quite easily done what he did , it was more a case of bing calm and professional which arguably is a skill in itself but I think most pilots generally have that as they go into training mode rather than panic mode.

The reason he just flew upwards after the save, was that he was very occupied crapping his pants repeatedly - and with his huge balls, there's not much room there.
I upvote your witticism, and realize it as such.
Getting some altitude and away from the crowds is just sound policy after physical contact. If he had to bail, he needs altitude for the chute and he wants the plane to miss anything important.

If you're wondering why the ramps and air things are suspiciously lacking in adverts, it's because Red Bull is illegal in France. I wonder if his helmet got him in trouble.
It's not illegal. It was in the middle of a small controversy for a few months, that's all.
Just read Reuters and they said france did ban Red Bull for 12 years and lifted the ban in 2008. I still think it's illegal to advertise it though, I remember a problem with the Red Bull team in F1 there recently.
