I wish you the happiest of birthday's M'Lady.
It has been entirely too long since you graced us with your presence.
I hope and trust you and your daughter are well and happy. I hear you are in the land of kimchi.
May you have many more.
Enjoy, Lily.
Anthony Bourdain- Korea - Martial arts and Kimchi making
Man, I bet I've eaten more Kimchi than almost anyone on this site, and I gotta say- The stuff is utter drek. The only reason in took such a hold in Korea is they needed a Vit. C source for the harsh as hell winters. Fresh kimchi has no redeeming qualities. I still eat it cause I'm a f-ing sap, but the stuff tastes like sewage. In a soup or fried though, that taste grand
Easy Kimchi
I love Maangchi, and I love kimchi, but this is not "easy"!

I love me some Kimchi. We always have a tub of it in the fridge. I was introduced to it through Japanese food though. They eat a hell of a lot of "kimuchi" in Japan.

I know! I've never made Kimchi myself, but I've watched my mom make it and she literally POURS salt onto the cabbage leaves.

simple as it is, it takes a lotta work. BTW feel free to salt the crap out of the leaves. If they're slighty bit too salty, then it's perfect. When they get fermented the saltiness wears down a lot.
BTW it's very odd to see her doing this with traditional ingredients in a very modern kitchen. It just looks surreal to me.

You will be happy to know that I have two new submissions in my queue that are Korean-related, but have nothing to do with group dancing/ synchronization! Yay!

Is it just me or does it seem that every Korean(both North and South)-related videos in Videosift always has something to do with lines, formations or any type of mass synchronizations and group dances?
...The hell is wrong with us?

Actually, that ad is a parody of a Korean drama named dae jang geum. The TV show was a smash hit in Taiwan, which is where this commercial was made, and the actual advertisement is about the new spicy kimchi burger.
