Watched this on a plane flight. It would have been better without Jaden- can't figure out why that kid is so damn unlikeable.

This is one of the rare remixes that I actually liked. Also of note for this tune, this song was also featured in Karate/Kung-Fu Kid with Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan.

Wow, what a bitch. I guess a child's name can indicate that parents aren't too clever though... anyone whose child's name rhymes with aden/aiden (Aiden, Jaden, Kaden, Maden, Raden, etc..) for example. Or parents who deliberately spell their child's name differently (e.g. Jackson vs Jaxon vs Jaqson) so that they'll be "unique". Doesn't make the kid dumb...

Just saw this. definitely not a stellar movie...it is a little bland and straightforward. The nepotism for Jaden is clear.

It's not a horrible movie though. Since it is so Jaden-centric, you could definitely argue the movie is really meant for kids and not for the grownups.

I think the internet has decided that it is cool to rag on M. Night Shaymalan so even if he makes a merely ok movie, it's still going to be panned.

This is an okay movie. Not great, but not bad either.

I personally liked the little details. There was an obvious effort to speak in a different accent since after 1000 years on a different planet, we are not going to talk with the same accents we do now. I liked the distinct look of their technology and that everything had an organic, "grown" feel to it. The bits of military slang that had evolved to mean more than their original meaning. It's the little bits of details like that which made this movie enjoyable for me.

Until he acquires/discovers some, I guess he'll just have to keep appearing in dad's vanity projects. Not that I wouldn't do the same, had I a world-famous dad. Unfortunately, I don't have a world-famous dad, so I'll just settle for despising the little prick.
