Jon Stewart epic Sean Hannity take-down. Truth recovered.

artician says...

I didn't enjoy this as much when I saw it. Stewart was in the right as he often is, but to enjoy it I felt I would just be serving catharsis, rather than media justice.

I did love the Ted Nugent bit, but ultimately this wasn't nearly as amazing as the Jim Cramer episode. That was something that every politician deserves to go through to this day; true, deserved defamation for hypocrisy and dishonesty.

Hannity just deserves to be ignored, because he's too small to be worth the trouble.

My parents took me to see Roy Clark, Boots Randolph and Floyd Cramer live at the Civic Audiotorium when I was about twelve (1974). It was great, those guys were fantastic musicians and put on a great show. I was amazed that these guys were real first class performers, so fun to watch. I just couldnt tell any of my friends that I actually liked it.

You cannot debate religion with those unwilling to reason. That's like explaining Cramer's rule to somebody that doesn't know math, or like teaching politics to me. At a certain point a person just tunes out. The culmination of years of brainwashing and indoctrination cannot be changed externally. It has to start from within. The questioning of reality isn't for everybody and nobody should feel so heated when they can't force that upon somebody.

The best thing to do, is to classify somebody based on their religious views. It's really easy. Obviously they're not one to question anything. Obviously they don't have the emotional capacity to accept that their fate is 6 feet under and not high in the heavens (or otherwise). And definitely we'd all hope these people would stop breeding, but unfortunately religion in and of itself is too tenacious of a idea for certain people to get past.

I've got to be honest, though, I can't read shinyblurrylogic's comments in their entirety. As part of my classification method that I stated above, he is not an expert on anything real, so reading the blither is a waste of my time. Writing about it isn't though, it's cathartic and a mental exercise, as always.

Jim Cramer admits to manipulating stock market

GeeSussFreeK says...

Cramer is just being vocal about a real, and pervasive problem in the current wall street investor mentality. He advocating the investor mentality of sucking money out of companies instead of the older, and some would say antiquated, notion of finding companies that are going to successful and invest in them.

Which sounds easier, to invest in winners and gain over time, or to invest a short into any company and instill a sense of panic in the company that causes a run on it to collect your short? The later is much easier, and done often even though it is illegal. The gains are multimillion as well, the risk can usually be obfuscated away with front companies that only exist in paper.

While Cramer here is doing wrong, he is only a small fish in the pool of wrong doers. The huge mutual funds do the same, and have been implicated in the death by stock manipulation of many companies. The SEC is mostly helpless in regulating such things. I think stock owners, buyers and sellers, should demand more transparency in all stock exchanges. It is beneficial to nearly all people to have complete transparency, and beneficial to a select few when the books are closed. Stockholders and companies really need to advocate a sort of "stock exchange bill of rights", because government oversight is a joke and problems like Cramer are all to common.

Is he trying to be sarcastic or is he being serious? I can't tell without more background info of this show.

Sadly, he is being dead serious. I first saw this clip surface when Cramer was a guest on the daily show and he didn't deny a word of it and became... uncomfortable, to say the least.

Tucker Carlson Attacks Jon Stewart Over Jim Cramer

Oh, Stewart, Please go after Tucker. Oh please, oh please, oh please.

Stewart already effectively got Tucker fired when Crossfire was canceled almost immediately after Stewart went on the show and destroyed it and Tucker at the same time. Tucker is the TKO'd boxer lying on the floor muttering incoherently about how could have won if his coach had let him go back in.
