Ran for Wasilla city council in 1992, won and served two terms from 1992 to 1996. Ran for mayor of Wasilla (pop. ~8000) in 1996 and won.

Here's a fun factoid. I live in Port Townsend, a small town of about 8000. Ten years ago, a brave man opened a new cinema in town, hoping to stay alive showing art films. The Rose Theatre. It is fabulous. (And great popcorn.)

The factoid? The single biggest grossing movie -- during a period of Spiderman and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and all those blockbusters -- was March of the Penguins. Second biggest grossing movie? Winged Migration.

This is an amazing small town with a unique population of educated, intelligent creative folks.

Although one time I saw a fast food court burger shop's patron collapsed on the ground. Paramedics came and took him away on a stretcher.

The lineup for burgers didn't shorten a bit though (except for me passing on that idea).

That's the second reason I downvoted this - anger at the nurse rep (or the editors of the show, QUITE POSSIBLY) not having more of a comment about the nature of the food.

Knowing Faux airs this, I consider it entirely possible she may have gone on for 30 minutes about the food and they only aired a minute on the "nurse" outfits.

The controversy started from a nurse, so obviously she wants people to eat here. Job security.

My Bosnian co-worker told me Karadzic defended his actions, saying that the 8000 people who died had all killed themselves. This is impossibly dubious, of course, but even more so because her father and brother were not the type to kill themselves.

Actually, reports are indicating that the 3/15 protests brought out even moar people than the 2/10 protests (~8000 vs. ~6500). Somehow Anonymous has stayed focused on this.

Depends on Density of Air, weight of the aircraft and Thrust. The FAA requires at least 10,500 feet of runway but you could probably do it in 8000 or 9000
