James Carville eats Palin supporter, Michelle Bachman (R-Min
>> ^deedub81:
The fact that Obama has campaigned longer doesn't mean he has more experience.
Obama 1985-1988: Served as the director of the Developing Communities Project (DCP), a church-based community organization originally comprising eight Catholic parishes in Greater Roseland (Roseland, West Pullman, and Riverdale) on Chicago's far South Side. During his three years as the DCP's director, its staff grew from 1 to 13 and its annual budget grew from $70,000 to $400,000, with accomplishments including helping set up a job training program, a college preparatory tutoring program, and a tenants' rights organization in Altgeld Gardens.
Palin 1984-1988:In 1984, Palin won the Miss Wasilla beauty contest (playing the flute), then finished second in the Miss Alaska pageant, at which she won a college scholarship and the "Miss Congeniality" award. Palin attended Hawaii Pacific College — now known as Hawaii Pacific University — in Honolulu for a semester in 1982, majoring in Business Administration. She transferred in 1983 to North Idaho College. In 1987, Palin received a Bachelor of Science degree in communications-journalism from the University of Idaho, where she also minored in political science.
Obama 1988-1996:Attended Harvard Law School, graduating magna cum laude in 1991. During that time he was also the editor of the Harvard Law Review. In his sophomore year he was elected president of the Law Review, supervising a staff of 80 editors. Between 1992 and 1996, he taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School.
Palin 1988-1996:1988, she worked briefly as a sports reporter for KTUU-TV in Anchorage, Alaska. She also helped out in her husband’s family commercial fishing business. Ran for Wasilla city council in 1992, won and served two terms from 1992 to 1996. Ran for mayor of Wasilla (pop. ~8000) in 1996 and won.

Quick outline. Source: Wikipedia.
I might continue on another post, Deedub, but I just wanted to make something clear here:
Do you consider the two outlines above to be equal in measure and weight?
If yes, why?
If no, which would you consider more qualified for a career in government?

As for the taste of the burger - I'll let you know as it's only 6 miles from here. I'm gonna go get a single bypass.
Well how was it? Did you survive to tell the story?

Baby penguins' first steps
Here's a fun factoid. I live in Port Townsend, a small town of about 8000. Ten years ago, a brave man opened a new cinema in town, hoping to stay alive showing art films. The Rose Theatre. It is fabulous. (And great popcorn.)
The factoid? The single biggest grossing movie -- during a period of Spiderman and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and all those blockbusters -- was March of the Penguins. Second biggest grossing movie? Winged Migration.
This is an amazing small town with a unique population of educated, intelligent creative folks.

Hmm, *femme and *sexuality? And sorry, but I had to downvote Rivera.

This seems straight out of Idiocracy.
OMFG yes, I was just thinking - especially when the guy said "it's not going to kill you". Will not necessarily immediately.
Although one time I saw a fast food court burger shop's patron collapsed on the ground. Paramedics came and took him away on a stretcher.
The lineup for burgers didn't shorten a bit though (except for me passing on that idea).
It's almost time to set up a "warning signs of the impending approach of Idiocracy" sort of playlist. Then again, we do have the "eia" channel.
Except that people get to eat there, procreate, and then die, so the "e" part fails.

I find it a little disturbing that the "controversy" is this restaurant's waitresses dressing up as nurses and not the unhealthy foods it serves. Priorities mix up?
That's the second reason I downvoted this - anger at the nurse rep (or the editors of the show, QUITE POSSIBLY) not having more of a comment about the nature of the food.
Knowing Faux airs this, I consider it entirely possible she may have gone on for 30 minutes about the food and they only aired a minute on the "nurse" outfits.

The controversy started from a nurse, so obviously she wants people to eat here. Job security.

Yeah, but smoke a joint there and you do six months in jail.
Viva McCain?
Shit, I'd need to smoke a fatty to eat the food there...
Bosnian war criminal Radovan Karadžić arrested
My Bosnian co-worker told me Karadzic defended his actions, saying that the 8000 people who died had all killed themselves. This is impossibly dubious, of course, but even more so because her father and brother were not the type to kill themselves.
Even if it's a political stunt, it's still an arrest of a war criminal, which is great news. One down, thousands to go.
975 dead videos in 4 days (Sift Talk Post)
Awesome stuff. 8000 videos eh? Huh. Wow. Great work there eric3579.
So - when you're ready, my collection of DVDs, CDs and VCDs need to be reorganised on my shelves. Books too. And I need the dishes done as well.
Cool, thanks.
Scientology dvd response to anonymous
Actually, reports are indicating that the 3/15 protests brought out even moar people than the 2/10 protests (~8000 vs. ~6500). Somehow Anonymous has stayed focused on this.

747 Landing on A Tiny Runway
Depends on Density of Air, weight of the aircraft and Thrust. The FAA requires at least 10,500 feet of runway but you could probably do it in 8000 or 9000
