Spencer Wells is director of the global five year study by National Geographic and IBM, which ends in 2010, where dna samples of people from all over the world are being collated and studied, to bring about further understanding of the ancestral origins of modern people.
The study focuses on isolated indigenous communities, but the dna sample kit can be purchased for $100 by anyone who wants to know what their haplogroup is. This will tell you what ancestral peoples you are descended from and also give the location of where they existed at different points in time.
