arekinsays...Katie, you're attractive, but I want you to consider something, if your mental health is compromised you will feel as though there "is nothing you can do, there is no help available." I understand that there are organizations out there to help, but you can also just go to a local shrink.

Enzobluesays...I'm starting to back away from these 'awareness' campaigns. Seems they want more awareness than they want cures. Breast cancer still soldiers on without a hiccup regardless of how many pink ribbons you see.
00Scud00says...And so will mental illness, the difference between cancer and mental illness however is that many people in society see cancer as just something bad that happens to you, not your fault or anything. Those same people will view mental illness as a character flaw, a moral failing, you're just feeling this way because you're weak and so it's all your fault. Many sufferers of mental illness would easily choose cancer over whatever they are dealing with right now. These campaigns are mainly about two things I think, one is letting people know that they can get better and the other is trying to undo decades of ignorance.
