How is it that we can see so many different colors if our eyes can only detect red, green and blue?

This is one of the coolest nerd videos I've ever seen. It's almost too fast: they set up a scenario, then ask a question that, given the scenario, I'm not sure I'd know the answer to. Then they answer the question. Stop! Give me a chance to fail! Great stuff.
