I don't think she was so shitty about it on her blog. Sure, it was a rant and she said as much herself, but it also had some valid points even though it came across a bit ranty. I too would probably be a bit gruff if my song, if it had a good chance of being played, was denied airtime because of those reasons. I simply don't see why you can't make light of rape, abortion and least of all religion. Following that logic, it would be illegal to make fun of racists because it would promote more racism. We actually have a comedian here in Norway who is accused of racism for exactly that reason.

The song wasn't really that offending either. The rape and abortion was simply a backdrop to show how shallow the girl portrayed in the song was. In that way, the music conveys the meaning through the slightly careless singing and the uptempo and happy band.
