Yeah, I thought he was joking. I subsequently found out he was serious, and his entertainment involves making sexist and homophobic comments to unsuspecting polite people.

What, this wasn't a joke? Then I want my upvote back, please.

Angry ram rams into unsuspecting fisherman

ant jokingly says...

>> ^A10anis:

It's a Ram, not a sheep. They can get pretty defensive, especially at mating time. I know this because, working on a farm, I was rammed by quite a few.

Any videos of your ram incidents?

Guy High Fives Unsuspecting Tourists in Pisa

Morganth says...

Additionally, Venice is awesome but NEVER go in the summer. It's super hot & humid, which means the canals stink (because they're also the city sewers), and it is CRAZY crowded with tourists. Go in the off season. Everything is just as beautiful, but you'll actually get to enjoy it. >> ^raverman:

For any considering it. DON'T bother planning the tower of Pisa in to your trip.
It's a depressing little trap town. It really isn't that interesting or unique when you're there. You won't have a good time, and you wont 'remember it fondly forever'.
You'll remember how disappointed you were and that you saw better churches and towers and this sucked you in because of famous bad architecture and tourists all getting in each other's photos. If you do have to go, don't make the mistake of thinking you'll stay a night and see the town. It's basically a ghetto bus stop of regrets.
Book 5 nights in the Ci
nque Terre
and a further 3 nights in Sorrento instead and tell me this wasn't the best advice i ever gave you.

Policewoman Kills Hostage Taker Solo

I upvoted. I hope it stays.

My litmus test:

If the snuff is the story, boot it out.

If the story has a snuff, it's allowed.

Basically, I think this isn't about watching a man get shot in the face, but an unsuspecting police woman getting her target.

But @messenger put a bad title to it, focusing on the snuff.

Oops: Priest Shows Gay Porn In Presentation -- TYT

burdturgler says...

>> ^Boise_Lib:

... I believe that the struggle for equality includes equal rights for gay/lesbian/transgendered/bisexual people.

I'm sure you must already know that I share that sentiment. The equality channel has over 300 sifts relating to the topic. Some of which I submitted or promoted myself.

>> ^Boise_Lib:

... As @EvilDeathBee pointed out this is only a national story because of the gayness of the porn involved.

Sorry, I just don't agree. IMO it's a story because it was a priest with gay porn. Not just because the porn itself had gay content. Granted, the fact that the porn was gay in nature is a part of it, but not everything *gay is also *equality.

If the issue is that the priest was investigated, well, it was the Archdiocese of the church that called the police and handed over the USB drive. Considering all the sexual abuse scandals the church has had over the years, what would be the public outcry if they didn't have it investigated? "Priest shows gay porn to children, Church does nothing."

Back on topic .. Displaying gay porn, accidentally or not, to a group of unsuspecting parents and a child is not an equal rights issue.

The priest has not identified himself as being gay.
I don't see anything in this video relating to equal rights for gay people.

Chinese Youth Discuss what is Wrong with the USA

United States knows the importance of free speech but doesn't have a free economy. China is reaping the benefits of a freer economy but is still scared of free speech.

Yeah, Go Foxconn, the employees are reaping some really good suicide benefits there! Or how 'bout all those miners killed every year in China. Those guys really reaped some benefits.
Melamine in your milk = Benefit of a freer economy
School collapses and kills your children because contractor cheaped out on concrete = Benefit of freer economy
People make unhealthy fake eggs through chemistry and sell them at the market = Benefit of a freer economy
Sign me up, sounds GREAT!
Yes, they actually do make fake eggs and sell them to unsuspecting customers in China, it's a big business.
Thank you, but no. I'd like some restrictions on the economy. China is a perfect example of why Libertarians are so damn wrong.

Get off your soapbox Snoopy, there wouldn't be a powerful China without American capitalists offshoring everything to take advantage of cheap labour/costs and then importing the products back. Or do Apple (a US company last time I checked) get off scott free because somehow they didn't know their products were being produced by near slavery..?

>> ^njjh201:

Cool let's now see the sequel, "Chinese Youth Discuss what is Wrong with what happened at Tiannenmen Square in June 1989"
No?
Oh OK then.

And there's American arrogance, assuming that everything is exactly how you believe it is... The chinese government certainly represses knowledge of Tiannenmen, but you'd have to be a moron to believe people don't remember and word doesn't spread, and people are told to not get caught talking about it...

ps. Funny how the greatest assistant to the repression of knowledge re: Tiannenmen square is *drumroll* the US company Google and their willingness to allow regions to dictate what appears on their localised Google.

There are two major logical flaws in this guys logic.

1. At the end of a rant against republicans and democrats, he endorses a republican.
2. He gives a list of politicians who have failed to live up to their campaign promises, and then endorses Ron Paul, without considering that he too would also fail to live up to his campaign promises, because he would be subject to the same political realities (congress, the media, big money, etc. all have power to subvert the president) that all of the previous presidents had to face.

I don't believe Ron Paul to be the saint he's made out to be. He's another rich, conservative, white career politician pushing his own questionable agenda on a whole lot of unsuspecting citizens.

Ron Paul Walks Out of CNN Interview

dystopianfuturetoday says...

Here is an excerpt from a Ron Paul newsletter that instructs you how to cover up the evidence after you murder a black person. This is despicable.

Blast ‘Em?
(From the Ron Paul Political Report October 1992 newsletter. [source])

If you live in a major city, you’ve probably already heard about the newest threat to your life and limb, and your family: carjacking.

It is the hip-hop thing to do among the urban youth who play unsuspecting whites like pianos. The youth simply walk up to a car they like, pull a gun, tell their family to get out, steal their jewelry and wallets, and take the car to wreck. Such actions have ballooned in the recent months.

In the old days, average people could avoid such youth by staying out of bad neighborhoods. Empowered by the media, police, and political complicity, however, the youth now roam everywhere looking for cars to steal and people to rob.

What can you do? More and more Americans are carrying a gun in the car. An ex-cop I know advises that if you have to use a gun on a youth, you should leave the scene immediately, disposing of the wiped off gun as soon as possible. Such a gun cannot, of course, be registered to you, but one bought privately (through the classifieds, for example).

I frankly don’t know what to make of such advice, but even in my little town of Lake Jackson, Texas, I’ve urged everyone in my family to know how to use a gun in self defense. For the animals are coming.
