How to kick the shit out of somebody

allso due to the nature of street fighting chances are annyone who actualy has intent to hurt you will have a kniffe or a gun

Whilst I somewhat agree that the likelihood that years of martial-arts practice is going to one day save your life in a street fight is pretty slim, I would point out that Bas is from the Netherlands and Pancrase is centered around Japan. In neither of these countries are you likely to encounter people carrying guns on the street, like you would in America. At worst they would have a knife... and a trained martial artist would certainly be able to fend off a junkie with a knife.

How to kick the shit out of somebody

well this is the thing , i like marshel arts and all the other sports as a form of dance and way of getting fit , allso they are like a living musum of culture. but allot of the people that practise them ohnistly think of them as a practical wepon , when in modern socity its very rare that you would actualy need to know annything to be in the best servival outcom . nearly always if in a confruntatoinal situatoin your better running away , allso due to the nature of street fighting chances are annyone who actualy has intent to hurt you will have a kniffe or a gun , in which case your fucked.

there is allso a huge difference to knowing basics of self defence and keeping fit and limber , over sumone that trains as if they are going to be a gladeator.

the latter seems like a very unproductive usage of time ( in the sence of doing it for self protectoin) I have nothing against people doing it for enjoyment.

I allso find sport scence quite intresting , and thats what this guys kick techneek realy comes down to , utilising the muscles in the most efficent way to deliver force at a given piont of contact. but its so retardedly simplistic compared to other scencies or other thigns of intrest , yet the guys presenting it teach it as if its some sort of mystical oober magick , exsploiting peoples retarded respect for martail arts that has developed over the yers.

infact one of the things that the japanise ninja sucsesfully did was convince people that they had magic powers and that was a sort of mental wepon that would give them the upper hand in a battel. its amusing that morons are still going allong with it.

In modern life u just need to know how to handle a knife use and look after a gun , and identify potentail situatoins from a distance so you can avoid them or run away. skills such as how to make money , or cook grow capture varouse foods , or be educated are going to be far grator factors in avoiding phisical fights and having good servival in modern life.

so i got this thing that fires metal faster than the speed of sound.

I can almost understand why people repeat this stupid comment in light of self-defense videos, but this is a sport. Nobody talks about how they own a bulldozer when watching football.

Young Turks Analysis of Epic Beard Man

handmethekeysyou says...

Two things, most important first:

1) The line between selfdefense and assault is when the attacker is on the ground. Once you knock someone down, anything you do to them after is no longer selfdefense. I wouldn't be surprised if EBM knows this law.

2) I think your calling the black man "boy" is in poor taste. Even if the motivation is that he lost the fight, it is a racially charged term. He's a grown man, not a boy.>> ^MaxWilder:
In my opinion, there are two separate, though related, incidents here. There is a shouting match, and there is a physical confrontation.
Both were wrong to engage in the shouting match, I don't care how it started. The sensible person walks away and shuts up. Points in EBM's favor for at least walking away, but he failed to shut up. So that portion is maybe 70% Epic Loser Boy's fault, 30% EBM's fault.
A physical confrontation is a separate thing. The first person to pull a weapon or throw a punch is at fault, 100%. Once ELB hit EBM, he was at fault, and EBM was defending himself. He has every right to continue defending himself until he feels that there is no longer a threat (ie. the guy can't get back up and start swinging again). The fact that ELB got up and walked to the back of the bus means EBM went EASY on him. On this point, Anna is waaaay off. Street fights are vicious, and once somebody proves they are capable of initiating a fight, you cannot trust them to stop at a reasonable point. You have every right to make sure they can't get up (though I don't think a jury would let you get away with killing someone for a single punch).

Mentally Challenged Man Beaten to Death

Throbbin says...

That black belt was a pussy. What they did to that man was despicable. Even in street fights, people know when to call the fight, and usually the crowd wants to make sure no one has to be sent to the hospital.

These assholes have probably gone on to have happy, productive lives, with families, jobs, vacations, weddings, and all the other joyous occasions we all want to enjoy in life. I wish I could go back in time to every happy moment those fucktards had in their lives since 1984 and play this video on a projector, just to constantly remind them of what they did (or allowed to happen).

And I know "violence is never the answer", but I wouldn't mind taking on that pussy black belt and teaching him a thing or 2 about a thing or 2. He wouldn't last 5 minutes where I grew up.

Dudes try to act tough in a store, get some street justice

I like to provoke these kinds of guys (the shirtless guys). They exist everywhere, and will only try to bully someone if they outnumber and/or outsize their victim.
I'm a big boy, and I've been in many, many street fights. You should see the looks on their faces when they realize someone is not afraid of them, and may be actively plotting their own demise. Things tend to go a little differently after that.

Throbbin, I want to go drinking with you.

Mike Tyson's 10 Best 1-Punch KOs

Its worth noting that in nearly every street fight Mike Tyson has been in, he has broken his hands or wrists.

The bones in your hands are quite small and fragile. That's why hand wrapping is so essential in all combat sports. With amount of force Tyson puts behind his punches, anyone will break their hand.

Oh, on this I do agree, however, most Karate-ka and Kung-fu practitioners are taught ways to throw punches that are both safe (in that they minimize potential damage to those fragile bones), but also deliver a strong amount of force. We've seen Bruce Lee's 1-inch-punch, derived from Wing Chun Kung-fu. We've seen Elvis drop people with Ed Parker's American Kempo Karate. UFC MMA fighters don't usually use as much wrap as boxers (granted, most don't use traditional boxing gloves - most prefer open-fingered Kempo-style gloves).

To me, this speaks to how unrefined Tyson's technique has always been. He may hit like a freight train, but if you can survive one or two hits, or even better, get him to miss and hit a sturdy object instead, like a wall, it wouldn't matter how hard he hits. Outside of the ring is a very different situation than the structured rules of boxing.

I've always wondered how Tyson would hold up in an octagon. I doubt he'd last long against a fighter with a more varied, well-rounded skill set.

Of course, finding someone who fits that description, and yet is still dumb enough to step into the ring with him would probably be impossible

Seeing these KOs in a sequence like this makes me think that more than a few of these were dives. There's no way that trained fighters would drop like that from a single punch..

You've never boxed, or watched much boxing before, have you? Tyson hits like a freight train.

He doesn't really know how to punch without his gloves on. It's pretty common among the trashiest boxers who frequently engage in such "unsanctioned" fights.

The Worst Boxer Ever

messenger says...

The commentators are Québéquois, or I'd understand more, but here's what I caught and my loose translation (I didn’t bother with the fight commentary):

"Sutherland claims never to have lost a fight in the street."
"The street and the ring are not the same thing though."
"Far from the same."

<announcement of Rainford>

"What they didn’t tell Sutherland, is that our friend here, Rainford, he has an amateur record of 24 wins and one defeat."

Something about buddy’s haircut.

<laughing> "He doesn’t know how to fight."
"It’s street fighting. That’s what street fights are like."

"Take a good look. Take a good look. Guys like this don’t come around too often."
