Simpsons ratings are dropping. The current writer staff are hacks. It's just not that funny anymore. I guess it could be due to the fact that the series has been on forever, but that would be a cheap excuse. I started watching as a kid when Season 3 was on, so I guess it might be more obvious to me. They had already lost their way in 2004. That is, the good writers left the show.
