I can hardly find a thing on it. It does sound like him though. This is the closest thing I could find.

"A Salute to the American Theater (CBS, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.). Franchot Tone introduces scenes from Broadway shows— Waiting for Lefty, Inside U.S.A., South Pacific, Call Me Mister, Watch on the Rhine, There Shall Be No Night, West Side Story, Raisin in the Sun—to demonstrate "the American theater's continuing fight against bigotry." With Phyllis Newman, Eli Wallach, Tom Poston, William Shatner, Bill Tabbert."

Altho Olby is not and never will be a real newscaster, anyone still in denial that 99% of the media is liberally-biased and spewing leftist hogwash needs a wakeup roundhouse kick to the temple.

No one in Washington has had the bright idea of demanding al qaeda surrender and hand over osama or we nuke Mecca, so it looks like we'll be staying a while yet.

If terrorists had some other goal than to die pointlessly for 72 raisins we wouldn't need to be cleansing Baghdad of their filth one building at a time.

Frequency of Self Links Increasing (Sift Talk Post)

James Roe says...

I had actually read that argument, and I think its probably a valid one. I certainly have videos that i really really like, that never made it out of the VideoSift queue, most traumatically my ill fated California Raisin's Christmas Special.

However, since this site has started I've found a ton of cool stuff I didn't even know I was interested in. We have actually taken some "curatorial" measures ourselves, for instance a side bar tabulating current "hot" videos. However, this again skews these videos to increase in votes at a higher rate than the norm. More dastardly perhaps is the fact that we actually do delete things if we think they are just plain bad. There are more than a couple of disgruntled users that can attest to this. However, by and large we tend to let things stew in the queue. Hopefully as the user base rises we will be able to simply let things die in the queue more and more often.

Have you flipped through the top votes section? I think its a good way to judge the power of social collaboration. As for the other methods mentioned, such as allowing people to filter only users that they approve of, well VideoSift is new we are always looking at new ways to do things.

Thanks for your commentary, it's refreshing to get an outside view of things.
