If you go watch the entire episode on youtube, you'll see that she's obnoxious, terribly unfunny (see "meat pie on a needle" in this segment, one of her better jokes).
Also, according to some youtube commenter, she succumbed to cancer shortly after the filming of that episode. Since I'm not british I can't confirm or deny.

Yeah, she had ovarian cancer and died in 2006. She wasn't bad (if I recall correctly) in 'Have I Got News For You' another British panel show. She could be very witty at times, I'll have to see if I can dig out a clip at some point.

The kind of meat pies you would buy at a petrol station are not good. If it's anything like Australia - it's probably a Mrs. Mac's.

This guys is a douche. Unfortunately thanks to socialism, white trash like him can travel. First off, 2 minutes worth of research would have shown that the restaurant's theme is outback Australia, not the cuisine. It never said Authentic Australian food. "Despite its 'theme', Outback Steakhouse serves American cuisine, with Creole influences". The theme refers to a relaxed and friendly environment (aka the outback) not the cities which are full of wankers. Something he is clearly not akin too. Otherwise they would have had served meat pies, sh-t beer (VB)and had a shoes optional policy.

As an Aussie I can say we are not all like that and I actually really enjoyed eating at the outback 'steakhouse' in the states. The irony is that the Outback also opened up in Sydney and won the 2008 Award for excellence: Restaurant and Catering, for the state.

This sequence and the bit about the meat-pies were my two favorites.

I do like a good meat pie with the lot though. (the lot being gravy, potatoes and mushy peas)

Happy Australia Day everybody. I'm going to celebrate by having some vegemite on toast this morning, and maybe a a meat pie for lunch, and then a a few VBs.

If you would like to get the meat pie experience in the US, get a Swanson's Chicken Pot Pie, but not the Hungry Man kind - because they don't have the bottom crusts - cheap bastards.

After it's cooked, and your're ready to eat, cut off the top crust and put some mushy split peas under it. Close it - and then put a layer of ketchup on top of the crust.

Actually, that will be nothing like an Aussie meat pie. But it's as close as you'll get. (nyah, nyah)
