By the way, have you ever seen "Coal Black and de Sebben Dwarfs"?.
It's one of the "Banned Eleven" Looney Tunes that are considered too blatantly derogatory to black people to syndicate. Video link is below. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Censored_Eleven

Great find, @ant.
Adding this one.
Looney Tunes Factory Theme Music (and occasionally Simpsons) AKA "Powerhouse" by Raymond Scott
Daffy Duck is a Lazy Metal Wizard
Daffy isn't stupid. He just doesn't give a shit. He, more than any other character, defines his own reality, even if that reality only exists in his head. This clip gives you a glimpse of that, but the rest of the episodes explore that theme even more. He does what he wants and doesn't care much what other people think. This is what makes him awesome, but there's ramifications as well.
It's a fairly mature concept for a 'kids' cartoon (as iTunes categorizes it). That's partly why I think the show is brilliant. This isn't a show that simply recreates the old cartoons, nor does it try to make the Looney Tunes into a more modern kids cartoon. This show is squarely aimed at people who grew up with these cartoons and are now ready to see how those characters act in more mature situations. Yes, to a certain degree, it is basically Seinfeld with Looney Tunes characters. But I'm OK with that. It's a nice blend. And a hell of alot better than Space Jam.

It's the Looney Tunes Effect. A character that runs off a cliff will not fall until he realizes he's only standing on air.
Yes! Just like Roger Rabbit can only escape from the handcuffs when it's funny to do so.

Cool vid...I loved Looney Tunes growing up. We had a beagle named Bugs...because it was a rabbit dog. GET IT?
How the next Mars Rover will land on Mars
I dunno. I thought it was absolutely badass and creative. I especially loved when the jet platform flew off into the middle of nowhere. They should make it scream like a Looney Tunes character as it flies off, though.
Coyote Falls [2010] A Looney Tunes 3D Short
Saw this in 3D in the theater, and since I grew up on Looney Tunes this was very entertaining.

John Cleese about the difference between football and soccer
This won't change until America implodes under the weight of its own stubborn ignorance and blind support of corporate greed. Maybe then we'll be able to look at other countries and accept some of their ideas as valid.
And for the entire road system argument, cost is not a factor if you just add km whenever a new sign is put up, or an old sign replaced. This was actually happening back in the 70's until the morons got all scared about their units of measurement being communist. We would have converted by now if not for those looney-tunes.
It's just a dumb, dumb argument. If you used metric in every aspect of your life for a year, you'd be used to it and it would be a non-issue.
And BTW, scientists all use metric. To the engineers in this thread who think using both systems is ok, I call you crazy. Conversion causes errors. Inconsistency causes errors. Anybody who is ok with more error prone methods is crazy.
