Fear and Horrorshow Channels (Horrorshow Talk Post)

NetRunner says...

I don't own these channels, but my understanding is that horrorshow is for entertainment under the genre of horror, while the fear channel is for examples of real-world usage of fear to manipulate people.

Clips from Night of the Living Dead belong in Horrorshow, but not Fear. Clips of the head of Homeland Security advising you to buy duct tape in preparation for a biological attack belongs in Fear, not Horrorshow.

Clips from 24 might belong in both.

UhOh. Zombies goes 100 (Sift Talk Post)

Congradulations! It's so nice to see a repressed minority accomplishing something in the interwebs. I think zombies have come a long way since deamonized in those bias documentaries of the 80's. You know like that awful Night of the Living Dead. I'm sorry but would it have killed their budget to get a narrator? The thing played like a horror film.

VideoSift v3.1 Unveiled (Sift Talk Post)

I've got absolutely no problems with the changes whatsoever. The dupe killer is a nice added feature. It would be nice if we could mass-murder all of the Simpsons/Family Guy clips in the dead pool. Trying to fix the embed code on a S/FG clip is an exercise in futility, which is why they take up 50 percent of the dead pool. I killed my beloved 'Radiers of the Lost Fridge' clip last night. Poor little clip just wanted to tend the rabbits....

Is it possible to mass murder something that is already dead? Or do we have to double-kill them like zombies? Hey, double-killing the living dead reminds me of a Simpsons Halloween episode. Ooh, I'm going to hunt it down and post it!

Ten complete movies online (Sift Talk Post)

finch451 says...

If you guys are interested in free movies, check out the Stage 6 section of DivX.com. You can view streaming high quality full screen movies by the hundreds.

Just do a search for "public domain" (meaning the material that's been released without a copyright), and you can get plenty of great classics. I love that Night of the Living Dead is up.

Also, though it's illeagal to watch certain copyrighted material from pirate sources online, this site doesn't host any of the files, so they aren't technically in the wrong... They'll link you to thousands of tv shows, movies, and other things scattered across the internet: www.alluc.org

Friday The 13th Part 6: Jason Lives - The Opening Scene

budzos says...

For a cheap slasher movie, this film had some nice production value. Good music, lighting, and better than average acting. "Tommy" also starred in Return of the Living Dead, my other favourite horror flick from the eighties.
